Based on the advancements in research dealing with the effects of greenhouse gases on the environment, at the rate of usage across the globe of these gases the end result is not good. The title of "Fahrenheit 9/11" is a play on the title of the famous Ray Bradbury novel, "Fahrenheit 451" in which society has been transformed into an authoritarian, repressive regime, in which subversive ideas are crimes and books are burned. In the book, a lonely protagonist is awakened to this reality and joins the struggle to keep underground dissidence alive.
The Coldest Winter Ever Born Lisa Williamson in 1964, Sister Souljah is a hip-hop artist that burst to the forefront of mainstream media in 1992 when she was criticized by then Presidential candidate Bill Clinton for saying “If Black people kill black people every day, why not have a week and kill white people?” Clinton was trying to prove to other Democrats that he did not sympathize with the organization that Souljah was a member of. She basically said Bill Clinton and went on to sign music and publishing contracts. She has become one of the more passionate and articulate voices to emerge speaking for young African Americans in the United States. She has written and published two works: No Disrespect, an autobiographical account of Souljah’s life, and The Coldest Winter Ever.
In Fahrenheit 451 there are quite a few different values. The first values we are introduced to are Guy Montag's, who values, ironically, are the only ones who change throughout the book. At the beginning we see that he loves his job and is content with his life. "It was a pleasure to burn. It was a special pleasure to see things eaten, to see things blackened and changed... Later, going to sleep, he would feel the firey smile still gripped by his face muscles. It never went away that smile, it never ever went away as long as he remembered." (Bradbury 1) But later on in the book we see that his values have been changed. Largely by Clarisse, the woman who burned herself with her books, Faber, and his own reading of books. His values, by the end of the book, are more about giving society what has been taken from them, for so long: or the recipe for happiness, as Faber calls it. Quality, leisure, and the ability to act on the first two. (Bradbury )
Suspense; Suspense is the intense feeling that an audience goes through while waiting for the outcome of certain events. It basically leaves the reader holding their breath and wanting more information. The amount of intensity in a suspenseful moment is why it is hard to put a book down. Without suspense, a reader would lose interest quickly in any story because there is nothing that is making the reader ask, “What’s going to happen next?” In writing, there has to be a series of events that leads to a climax that captivates the audience and makes them tense and anxious to know what is going to happen. And Suspense, is what “August heat” primarily uses to keep its story so invigorating.

To say that the media worked together with the media to promote the Iraq war may be an exaggeration, however the media in know way held the government responsible for the fraud that they committed in invading Iraq. The media, whether knowingly or not, promoted the Bush Administrations agenda in Iraq by arousing overwhelming feelings of nationalism in the American people. It then became unpopular, or un-american to oppose the war. In the case of the Iraq war the media failed to properly fulfill its responsibility of maintaining accountability in government as well as most importantly reporting in an impartial style.
Michael Moore’s latest film, “Fahrenheit 9/11,” presents a critical look at the administration of George W. Bush and the War on Terrorism. In this film Moore investigates the rapid growth of the United States government and its trend of trampling the rights of individuals, and the corporatism that is spawned out of the close ties between big government and big business during wartime. Michael Moore may not convince all audiences, but is successful for its factual accuracy in which the evidence spoke for itself, and at the same time proclaimed Moore's artistry in transposing and splicing scenes to create impressions that supported his allegations and opinions. Michael Moore has employed two main techniques in an attempt to successfully influence his audience; psychological means of strategy, and cinematic techniques of persuasion. These methods, coupled with how they are presented to the audience, and how the audience react, are what Moore uses to create a scheming effect.
While some scientists argue that the most prominent changes to our climate caused by our release of green house gases will be more significant in the future, it has been highlighted by others than some changes are occurring in this decade. Examples of this are glacial melt leading to rise in sea level, surface temperatures rising on big bodies of water like lakes and the sea and some even can link the release of green house gases to more violent storms and heavier rainy seasons.

The average surface temperature on Earth has increased approximately 1.0°F in the past century, and it is projected that it will again increase somewhere two and nine degrees by the year 2100. This is the expected effect of increased greenhouse gases, which contain the Sun's energy (heat) in the lower atmosphere (troposphere). Much of the increase in these gases can be considered a natural occurrence, however, at least some of it is human induced. The depletion of the ozone (O3) layer is negatively affecting our ecosystem, by way of global warming and climate change.
The effects of global warming are very serious. Causing all kinds of damage. and growing danger for the ecosystem. We know that global warming is a HUGE problem that humans need to try and improve. As individuals we can do at least one thing day to help our plant. 1800-2013 climate has changed rapidly. It’s not getting any better over time, it’s getting worse. The Earth will always be here remember that but the human race won’t. So look up some things you can do to help the environment, because we can make a difference.
Our planet has managed to survive and thrive for about 4.54 billion years. In the last 2 million years we have caused enough damage and destruction to make our world “broken” beyond repair. We will not be able to get back the world we once had. The reason behind this is global warming, specifically, the increase of the global temperature due to the burning of fossil fuels and the release of greenhouse gas emissions into our atmosphere. If we do not make the issue of global warming a priority in today`s society, our entire way of life will be at risk. There are many reasons why so many people believe global warming should be a concern. Thoroughly examined points include: scientific predictions, rising temperatures, human causes, drastic climate changes and animal adaptations. Though there are several points arguing how global warming should not be a concern, the reality of the matter is that it needs to be taken into consideration on a global scale before it is too late, as to do nothing would have devastating implications on humankind.
