Technology has evolved over the years and it also affects the people in the book Fahrenheit 451. The book Fahrenheit 451 is a book about a dystopian society in the future. People have found ways to track your activity, whether it be a dog or a tv remote. In Fahrenheit 451 tech is bad because they monitor people's activity all of the time they also give people bad information. But nowadays technology is taking over our lives and even spying on us from above. Some of our beloved electronics also track our private conversations. So overall, technology is messing up our future by monitoring our daily activities and conversations. This may not seem like much but it can effect our future. This affects Montag in the book because it ends up being the reason they find his books “Yes the hound’s somewhere about the neighborhood so don't try anything. Ready”(Bradbury 110). The hound monitors everyone's reading activity and how much information that people get from books. The hound also can be programmed to chase somebody“It doesn't like me said Montag What the Hound? The captain studied his cards it doesn't like or dislike it just functions.” (Bradbury 24). The people at the fire station were becoming suspicious of Montag so they sent it after him. This data captured by the voice remote can be sent to a third party application to be translated “Please be aware that if your spoken words include personal or other sensitive information, that information will be among the data captured and transmitted to a third party through your use of Voice Recognition,”(Shhh! Your smart TV is eavesdropping on you). This is important because everyday people are giving their personal information to their tv and that can go to anybody. These technology's are developing a lack of trust with consumers“On a broader level, Samsung is contributing to the idea that smart TVs (and for that matter, all connected home devices) are not to be trusted.”(Shhh! Drones are also a big controversy whether they should be allowed for public use or not.
