Perquisition of oneself might be the riskiest thing to do. For we do not know what we might ferret out from it. We may not like what we see or be disappointed with the range of our abilities thus hinder us from doing so much more. But if we step back and look closely into it, taking risks is what we have been doing our whole life. Life is a long journey. It is a personal adventure of finding who you truly are. But there is no guarantee that it would be full of happiness and blissful moments. Problems will come and we have to remain strong to withstand its jolt on us I feel blessed with the life given to me. It may not be perfect but I am contented and extremely gratified for its serenity. In my 15 years of living, I cannot say that I have gone through the ‘toughest time’ of my life. But I know that I have gone through enough that it has molded me into the person I am today. If we were asked “What are you most proud of?” Some people might say it is their accomplishments and other notable things they have done, and indeed that is something to be immensely glad about. They dese...
People should take pride in what they have accomplished. Achilles, the hero of the Iliad, was greatly revered by the ancient Greeks for his ability as a great warrior. He had great pride in his accomplishments and viewed himself superior to others, and the people praised him for it. Many people in today’s society would label him as arrogant, but in fact he should be praised for having pride for what he has done because he has superior ability. Likewise, in the Old English epic poem Beowulf, Beowulf defeats enemies that other man had never succeeded at doing. He would boast of what he had done to others, but unlike most people who boast, Beowulf had done what others had never done before. In recent days, praises people greatly for their accomplishments because they are impaired in some way. For example, society praises Stephen Hawking, who takes pride in his work in theoretical physics, much greater than Jason Lezak, who has pride in winning the 4x100 relay at t...
Adversity enhances ones’ positive characteristics due to the provision of an ideal environment for establishing integrity and developing a mature mindset. This conclusion is valid because people tend to learn from their mistakes, thus gain a broader perspective on life.
This basically sums up how my life is right now. Am very happy with what I have and what I have learned through my life. Am satisfied with the blessing I have receive up to know. According to Earl & Carol Diener, People who reports positive satisfaction may say as much about people as about the target of satisfaction (1996). I know that many time we may encounter with hard moment, but the point of it is to analyze what lead us to that and learn from it. As, I mention on my serious introduction, am married to my high school sweetheart and have two beautiful boys who every day fills my days with happiness and push me to become more of a better person. I try to the max to enjoy every second and every minute of my life, with the people I love and that gives me
Life is a constant evolution. Everyone has problems and everyone goes through things, including me. No one is perfect and life definitely is not easy. I have experienced everything from my grandma being diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease, losing our house, and connecting with an absent father. I even struggled with anxiety and depression. It has really been a wild journey and now, I’m finally ready to share my views on this roller coaster that I have been on.
I have overcome many challenges to get to where I am. Since the age of 20, I have been the sole surviving member of my immediate family. Despite these odds, I made giant strides throughout life; much of that attributed to the Army. I earned a degree, got married, and had three children in addition to my career. I have traveled all over the country and met many people from different walks of life.
In life, people will always have something to say about you in everything one does in life, either negative or positive, but it’s the moment when you let what is said upon you affect the way you live your life, that when its becomes a problem. I for myself have been victim of so many people saying things about me and letting get into my head, but I had the courage to overcome a lot of obstacles like that. I have struggled with a lot of obstacles in my life some got the better of me while I have been able to overcome most of them. I am writing this essay to give an example of an obstacle which I struggled with for a very long time and I nearly took the best of me, but with time I was able to overcome it.
Overcoming Obstacles Throughout a persons life, they are faced with different obstacles, and different challenges of all different types. My life in particular has been full of ups and downs, especially towards my soccer career. In the novel The Pact, three boys, George, Rameck, and Sam, are faced with many obstacles throughout their lives, where they must learn to overcome and achieve great success on their own will power. Essentially, I did the same thing. My soccer career has been one of my most difficult life challenges, creating the person I am today.
I have lived so far a short life of 13 years. Over this life I have experienced some interesting events. Out of all these events the most influential was when I moved to Bakersfield. The move to Bakersfield was so imperative because , of the sadness it brought, the confusion it ushered in, and the excitement is gave me.
As a child, life was great for me. I spent my days being a hyperactive boy, running around and causing general chaos on my two sisters, Kelly and Libby. The world I lived in was a stress free world, I had not had many difficult experiences growing up. Life was beautiful for me, until a tragedy struck my family.
I was never a risk taker. I never threw myself in situations without fearing what the outcome would be. Instead, I had an issue of over thinking, and lacking confidence in myself. This issue had prevented me from working to reach my best potential, however, with time, but more importantly, with the help of one special person, this issue has slowly been resolved. In every situation of which I have doubted myself, this person, my mother, has always been there, telling me to “just try”.
Risk I think people should take risk because if you take risk you could end up in a good situation, Macbeth and people in history that take risk. Risks are a good chance to challenge yourself. So you should take them when you have the chance. If you take a risk you can end up in a good situation.
I want to live like I am dying. Is it better to take risk and perhaps make some mistakes or remain cautious and risk nothing? I believe it is much better to take that risk then to be a very cautious person. First, taking the risk means I could live life to the fullest. If I was not living life to the fullest, I would be wasting my life.
If we let our personal challenges destroy us, then we are nothing and have nothing to offer the world. It is important that we take control of our situation and use the personal hardship as an opportunity to better ourselves. It takes a keen eye and careful self-evaluation to remove any inclusions that will mar the beautiful diamond we possess in all of us. Each one of us is shaped into a distinctive cut of stone, giving way to different grades of clarity and color, making us rare, valuable, and uniquely our own. Frederick Douglass and Barbara Ehrenreich are two individuals who lived in different time periods; however, both individuals used their personal struggles to inspire change in the hearts of others. Just as I use my struggle as a tool to chip away the imperfections in my life, Frederick and Barbara used their experiences to chip away the fallacies of our nation. Personal challenges encourage me to grow as an individual and make better choices for a brighter future.
My life is a mixture of moments, some happy moments and others not so much, but regardless, these moments have made me the person that I am today and I don’t regret anything that had happen. I consider myself a strong, and a very determined person, I have dreams to fill the world and I am willing to do the necessary efforts to attain those dreams. My motivations I inherit from my family, more specifically my father that I love so much; I have always
First of all my life is wonderful and tremendous I would have to say. Although, every so often it turns dreadful, but I always manage to turn it around so I can be happy and joyful again. Even though, when I was younger my life wasn’t like it is today. I had to deal with enormous changes in my life to get it the way it is today. The biggest change had to deal with friendship.
