Exploring the Beauty of Flagstaff
I have always loved visiting Flagstaff for its beautiful atmosphere. Part of which makes Flagstaff so beautiful are the beautiful pine trees that make up the woods. Driving up from Tucson can be such a long drag, especially when all you see is desert. You really know when you finally hit Flagstaff, because the trees along I 17 start to get bigger. They are so beautiful as they stand tall and sway with the light breezes that pass by. The woods show the strength of Flagstaff as well as the beauty. They surround the city like children would surround their mothers. The woods of Flagstaff create the perfect atmosphere that will set your mood to a delightful state. To escape the reality of our busy world, the perfect place to sit and relax is in the middle of pine trees and listen to the soothing sounds of solitude.
The first thing you want to do in Flagstaff is go outdoors and explore. There is so much that you shouldn’t pass up in the way of outdoor activities. You can go hiking on one of the many trails Flagstaff has to offer, or create your own journey. The best way to explore is to make your own path, but by being careful as to leave markers so you can find your way back. When you find a great place to enjoy the woods and explore, park you car, step out, and take a long deep breath of the fresh pine air.
Once you fill your lungs up with fresh natural air you begin to wonder why you would ever go back to a busy intoxicated city again. Right away you feel calm and relaxed. There is something about the comforting green trees that stand so tall above you and make you realize how beautiful nature really is.
As you decide on a place to sit down and soak up your surroundings, you come across a large rock that makes you feel like it was nature’s chair made especially for you.
One of the most surprising and uncommon events happened to me in the summer of 2015, Sedona, Arizona. It started out as a pleasant summer getaway; visiting the Grand Canyon, Sedona rock slides, and just having an amazing, memorable time with friends and family. One day, we decided that it would be enjoyable to have a picnic in the forest. The trees were deep green and lush. The tranquil, relaxing stream of a nearby river could be heard, and birds were chirping cheerfully. After lunch, we all decided upon venturing deeper into the forest near the river. On a rock, a single bright, pastel green caterpillar- equipped with unique spikes, caught our eyes. None of us had ever seen such a creature. We were captivated and intrigued. Since we were not
Traveling to an amusement park is a family’s finest way to bond, but is it worth the time and drive to attend just any amusement park? This essay will compare and contrast Six Flags San Antonio, SeaWorld San Antonio, and Disney World Florida from price range, food, and the variety of rides.
Flagstaff is the definition of a mountain town. There isn’t a person in the city that hasn’t hiked, skied or snow-boarded down these giant mountains. Not only do the mountains make this city something unique, it’s also the people that live there.
earth is there to do in such a small town such as Monticello? Well, there are
The Grand Canyon has a lot of different features and is an exciting place that holds a lot of secretes and mysteries that scientists have been trying to figure out since the Grand Canyon was formed. It is millions of years old, over 277 miles wide, 18 miles wide, and defies many normal Geography features that are true in every other situation. Many theories have been presented that seek to explain the formation of the Grand Canyon. The first theory is that the Grand Canyon has a lot of Erosional Scarp Face’s, that have come together over the years, which is one theory that has been presented. Scientists have also tried to see if the Colorado River cutting into the canyon caused the Grand Canyon.

...erospace and transportation. Also important are high-technology researches and development, communications and service industries. Since the 1920s and 1930s the importance of the tourist industry began to grow and it is still one of the most important sources of income of Arizona. The mountains in the northern and central regions of the state have 1,286,900 hectares of commercial forests. These forests are owned by the U.S. government for 95% and are used for lumber and building-materials industries. The state forests and the national forests attract millions of tourists each year. Other famous tourist spots are the Grand Canyon, the Painted Desert, the Petrified Forest, meteor craters, ancient Native American ruins, the Spanish colonial ruins and the Navajo and Hopi reservations. Golf courses and other leisure facilities attract a large amount of tourists as well.
History of Hilton hotel has been very interesting as it started as Mobley Hotel in year 1919 a small building. Because, when the company started it had no plans or ideas of expanding, the sole purpose was to serve as a place for the travelers to stay where they can comfortably enjoy a night or few and carry on towards their journey. After twenty-seven years of business and hard work, this small hotel went nationally in eleven states within United States, known as Hilton. Currently they have four thousand worldwide properties, either directly owned or franchised (including third party), in seventy-eight countries. Hilton even though allows franchises but there policies remain the same and direct Hilton officials do all the upper level management. The company name Hilton understands for Hosp...
Founded in 1919, Hilton Worldwide has remained a beacon of innovation, quality, and success. What Hilton Worldwide calls their mission statement imposes its worldwide high status: “We will be the preeminent global hospitality company - the first choice of guests, team members and owners alike.” Fierce competition, however, does currently exist among hotel corporations within the market. Marriott International, Hilton’s main competitor, currently stands as the third-ranked world leader within the industry (according to hospitalitynet.org), coming in after Hilton. Other competition faced by Hilton comes from Wyndham Worldwide, Starwood Hotels and Resorts, and Best Western, to name a few. Affiliated with ten different hotel brands, Hilton Worldwide provides its guests with the advantage of choosing from any one of their 4,000 operating hotels located throughout 90 different countries. This has evidently contributed to Hilton Worldwide becoming one of the top leaders (ranked second to be exact) in the hospitality industry, despite their competition. The vision of Hilton Worldwide is “to fill the earth with the light and warmth of hospitality.” As the modern luxury hotel, Hilton has created a prestigious heritage with a modern attitude. The values of Hilton Hotels are stated uniquely, giving one value to each letter that constitutes the word for the hotel brand. “H” stands for Hospitality– “We are passionate about delivering exceptional guest experiences”; “I” stands for Integrity– “We do the right thing, all the time”; “L” stands for Leadership– “We are leaders in our industry and in our communities”; “T” stands for Teamwork– “We are team players in everything we do”; “O” stands for Ownership– “We are the owners of our actions and dec...

Multiple sclerosis is a disease that causes demyelination (disruption of the myelin that insulates and protects nerve cells) of spinal nerve and brain cells (Luzzio & Talavera, 2017). MS occurs when the immune system attacks a fatty material called myelin. Myelin is a sheath-like material that forms a cover and protects nerve fibers. A nerve fiber is a threadlike extension of a nerve cell and essentially consists of an axon and in some cases a myelin sheath. Axon transfers electrical impulse from the cell body to neurons. Myelin is designed to protect axons. When myelin is damaged, demyelination occurs, which leads to nerve dysfunction and slowed or blocked nerve communication between the brain and the rest of the body. The s/s of MS in my

During my trip to the Arboretum I thought a lot about the importance of the desert. I thought about how complex and beautiful it is. It is a landscape that I do not think many people view as beautiful. I know that when I first came to visit Phoenix I thought the desert was quite ugly. It wasn’t until I made an effort to find its exquisiteness that I did. Participating in activities like visiting the arboretum and taking day trips to Sedona and Tuscon have helped me to see the magnificence of a cactus existing in the sand with no water for weeks at a time. This one thing amazes me so much. The blooming flowers on a cactus are breathtaking to me. I think the contrast of cactus flowers and the vastness of the sand in the desert is what makes it so striking.
I used to go there to be alone or to dream with my eyes open admiring the blue sky or the clouds. I liked to go there to lay down on the grass, listen to the wind, kiss the flowers and watch the leaves moving. It was hard to go up the hill to get there, but I wanted to see everyday my seven trees, to see how the color of the leaves changed and to feel the softness of the grass.
Hiking is great cardio, improving your heart rate and also lowering risks of a heart attack. It improves bone density immensely since walking is weight bearing exercise, which will makes it harder to break a bone in case of an accident. It builds and tones muscles at the same time as improving balance. Studies have shown that hiking helps relieve symptoms of stress and anxiety. I mean why wouldn 't it, filling my lungs with crisp unpolluted oxygen, the sound of birds chirping and the wind bellowing through the trees, the aroma of flowers and the sweet essence of a fresh creek, the views from the highest hills and the tallest trees. That is what heaven sounds like to
