The term; exploding box; is used to describe boxes that have been cleverly created so that the sides fall outwards when the lid is removed. This gift allows creative ideas to proceed during production process when adding stamped tags with special messages, attaching attractive ornaments or adding keepsakes. A gift is also able to be placed in the centre of the box as the base holds no paper flaps.
The box can be created using thick paper or cardstock. A stronger structure is created by using thicker card or chipboard.
