What you need to be successful is a positive mindset. I know it is not easy these days, with the economy at an all time low. Thought, word and deeds. You will want to have positive thoughts. With all the negativity in the world, having a positive mindset will go a long way. Don't concentrate on how bad things are. Turn it around and try to see if something good can come out of it. I am not saying this is going to be easy, but try to find one thing positive about something negative in your life. If you get angry driving in to work every day, maybe because of the traffic or construction going on, see what positive thing you can get out of it. Maybe you got to hear a song on the radio that you really like. Or think about the fact that you have a job to go to when so many people are out of work. …show more content…
You get frustrated because you have to wait in the checkout line at the grocery store. Instead, think about the people who cannot afford to even stand in the grocery checkout line. Be grateful you can stand in line and stop being angry about it. Don't be quick to criticize. Try to make a point of complimenting someone each day. Make a positive comment to someone you cross paths with. When getting your cup of coffee at work, thank the person who made that coffee. It will let that person know you appreciate the effort the made and it should make you feel good too. All people like the recognition that even the little things they do each day are appreciated. Help someone who you can see may need it. It doesn't have to be anything big. Open a door for someone whose hands are full. Hold an elevator when you see someone is rushing to it. These kind actions do not go unnoticed. As people say, pay it forward. When you help someone and someone else sees it, they may see some way to do the same for someone else later in the
Have you ever held open a door for someone? This is a thoughtful act. I have helped and have had people help me when I have dropped my things and it made things easier for me because I had a helping hand. Helping someone in an inconvenience can turn their day around. Helping someone could make them happier. It could also make them more confident because they know someone was there to help them. It could also help them see some good in the world if they were sad or giving up. There are many other ways that helping someone during a time of need is important.
I believe in paying it forward or as the people of Erie, Pennsylvania like to call it, #AJO, a pay it forward moment that was started in memory of a young girl who died earlier in the year due to an epileptic seizure. It doesn’t matter if it’s a small act or a large one; if it makes you feel good and it benefits someone else, then it counts. Molly Friedenfeld, author of The Book of Simple Human Truths, once said: “A purposeful act or extension of kindness to another is never wasted, for it always resides in the hearts of all involved in a chain of love.” She’s right, too, even if you pay it forward just once in your life you’ve still touched the life of someone and there is a high chance that they will pass it on. Paying it forward isn’t just buying things for people – like a pumpkin spice latte, for example. Paying it forward can be simple acts of kindness such as holding the door for someone or chasing a ball down the sidewalk for a group of children. Your mood spreads so you might as well make it a good mood.
Gratitude – you need to be grateful for good deeds done to you, and if possible pass those good deeds on to others.
One has to know how to play the game we call life. Doing what you love. Using many of the things that Gladwell describes to be the stepping stone to success. Persevering until the end. That is what makes success
Handing over some money to a homeless person or even something as little as smiling at someone. It doesn’t always have to be the big things like buying a homeless person a house. It’s truly what comes from the heart that matters. Smiling at someone will give them hope that there still are people who have faith in those who are less fortunate. It will also reassure faith to them. If someone is feeling lonely at school, show some compassion by sitting next to them and being friendly. This will make them feel less uncomfortable and feel more loved when they the whole world seems upside down to
I can also make a difference in the community where I live. Last year my class held a car wash to raise money for the Animal Shelter. We went to visit the dogs there and I realized that the money we raised made a difference for some of them.
If someone is going through a rough time or they had a bad day at work, someone doing an act of kindness could replace their sadness with happiness. Imagine you're going through a heartbreak, so you go get some food and the person in front of you pays for it now you're a little happy because of that thoughtful act.
In all of my actions, I strive to have a positive impact on the lives around me. Experience has shown that even the most innocuous actions one takes, can make a profound difference in someone else's life. From the smile of encouragement, the touch of care, and the sacrifice of time, these actions can occur at just the right moment to inspire someone towards greatness.
...ne day a stranger did something nice for me. If it becomes a tradition it will affect more than just me and the person I helped, but also the person he or she helped and so on. Hence, I want to do something nice for someone else to benefit more and more people and create a tradition.
As in, “I’ve learned that strangers still care. And I try to pay it forward.” (Hecht, 1) They are all so kind and willing to lend a helping hand when needed. She gives the
A homeless person on the street freezing If you gave them a jacket or maybe just a pair of gloves that could make the difference from feeling cold to feeling warm. Treat others the way you want to be treated Giving money to a charity clothes shop to help them out. Then one day you find yourself needing the help and you go back to the store in need for some. The people come up to you with open arms doing exactly what you did to them. This links back to giving to charities is not pointless because when you are in need they will help just like you have or
