I deserve to stay in this balloon because I offer consolation and I am caring. When my sons were severely injured in a car accident I refused to spend any night not beside them. I took my oath to office for the Senate at the hospital bedside of my son and commuted to and from Washington every day by train so I could stay in Wilmington with my sons. This quality of mine shows that I care about others and I am willing to do what it takes to help the people I love snd because of this, I should be saved.. I deserve to stay in this balloon because I am strong and hard-headed. When I ran for president in 1988, I had to drop out because I was suffering from two life-threatening brain aneurysms. These further led to blood clots in my lungs from the surgery, which led me to another surgery. After a seven month recovery time, I returned back to the Senate and continued fulfilling my duties as a …show more content…
This package helped boost employment and spending. I helped save our economy from financial crisis and bankruptcy. I deserve to remain in this balloon because without me the U.S. would go into financial ruin and we would lose thousands of jobs and dollars. I deserve to stay in this balloon because I revived an arms reduction treaty with Russia. This treaty that I helped revive cuts the number of strategic nuclear missile launchers that will be used in half. I should stay in this balloon because if I am not saved this treaty will be vanished and it would make Russia more powerful and the U.S. more open to attack. I deserve to stay in this balloon because I banned assault weapons from being kept in households. After the shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary, I decided that there is no good reason to have assault weapons being carried on a person or allowed in homes. I deserve to stay in this balloon because without me we would most likely have more shootings and more
Biles describes each of these programs, their purpose, how they were developed, and how they operated. He then goes into analyzing each of these programs pointing out their strengths and weaknesses and how they affected the economy individually. “For all it did, the New Deal could have done much more” (115). Biles felt that after analyzing these relief programs, they didn’t do nearly enough to boost the economy, supporting his view with the unemployment rate dropping from 19.1% in 1938 to 14.6& in 1940 (226). The programs did help many people but their were also many Americans who received no
Another $102 billion would be used to help victims of the recession with unemployment insurance, health care, food stamps and job training, while jobless aid would also be increased by an extra $25 a week. Theodore Roosevelt was one of our greatest presidents. He created the FDA and improved the position of the presidency greatly. Before Theodore came to be president, the position of presidency was slow and wasn’t very interesting so he made the executive branch more powerful by starting new reforms and a strong foreign policy. The life of a president is hard. It is full of stress, responsibilities, and a strong dedication the welfare of your country. Theodore had to deal with all of these presidential stresses, taking up much of his time. Do you know, though, that despite being a president, he led a life of excitement and freedom that many other presidents had never before experienced? Theodore, “Teddy” as his first wife Alice called him, Roosevelt was more than just our president, he was a dedicated author who wrote many books; he was also a rancher, and, surprisingly, he was a big time hunter. Even though Theodore Roosevelt was a president, his life was filled with exciting adventure, times of hardships, responsibilities to many, and influences upon many government positions.
However, it was a success in restoring public confidence and creating new programs that brought relief to millions of Americans.

The American Recovery and Reinvestment Act was signed into law by President Obama on February 21, 2009. The law had three major goals which were all aimed at stimulating a sluggish US economy. The first goal was to create new jobs and save existing ones by tax credits for hiring new employees. The second goal was to spur economic activity and investment in long term growth by increasing the amount of business asset that could be acquired by companies while allowing for immediate deductions for the cost of the assets as well as numerous tax credits for individuals and businesses. The third goal was to foster unprecedented levels of accountability and transparency in government spending by requiring recipients of recovery act funds to post acknowledgements on the Recovery.gov website.

There is much to overcome to completely reverse the direction of the health system, and I’m sure it will take many years for the results to pay off, but I’m glad we’ve at least provided the groundwork for future generations to build on.
