Witchcraft can be defined as the use of black (dark) magic such as using charms or spells for the summon of spirits and/or worshipping the devil. Abigail was not only caught dancing in the woods that evening but also consuming blood, a charm, to execute John Proctor’s wife. She used this as a vengeance method to make Proctor feel horrible for what he did in addition to losing his wife. To make this brief, she believed that if she can not have Mr. Proctor, then no one can.
