Just like in the constitution, these things are self-evident, that all Americans are entitled to the things mentioned as well as many others. All Americans since the signing of the Declaration of Independence in the 1776 have been free. Often time American’s are not grateful enough for their freedom. Other countries don't have the freedoms afforded to Americans. Americans have fought from the beginning for freedom and have to everyday to ensure that freedom lives on. To go to war with the people that took down the World Trade Center just months after it happened is something that is very bold. When a country is as great as the US other countries will always try and ruin it and it takes America’s boldness to face it. Patriotism is a key rooting of The American society. Americans may not always show their true patriotic side until we are under attack or until it is time for an election, but the feeling is always there. The little signs of patriotism can be see almost every day with people flying the colors on their doorstep, wearing any identifying symbols of the US, or even exercising freedoms is a way to show off patriotism. I also believe the American Dream is starting from the bottom and working your way up to something more, something better. Below are a few of America’s voices from the great melting pot.

Now, according to Webster’s online dictionary Americanism is defined as a custom, trait, belief, etc., peculiar to the United States of America or its citizens, but to me it means so much more.

An American is someone who is free to do whatever whenever he wants. He is someone who doesn't care about who judges him or what people think. All he cares about is his version of the American dream.
