The accomplishments that would like to attain in the next ten years. First would be to graduate from the Respiratory Care Program. This has been the toughest eight months of my life so far and I have six months to go, however I am determined to finish and earn my degree no matter what. Once I have made that accomplishment, the next essential goal is to past the Registry Examination. Ms. Miller is the Respiratory Care Program director and she makes sure that we are prepared to take our board exams by offering the Kettering Review. I think that it is awesome that we are offered a chance to take a class to help us succeed in passing the national board exams. My goal since my toddler years has been to be a hero. Today, I cannot envision myself doing anything else. My long-term goal since the beginning of high school has been to contribute to the biomedical sciences, whether it is as a researcher, a surgeon, or a clinical physician. I aspire to make change, even the smallest improvement in anyone’s life.

I have this quote printed out and on the wall next to my door so I can see it every day as a reminder to myself. Currently, I have completed 9 12-hour shifts in the medical/surgical ICU, during this time I have made excellent progress in attaining my established goals. I completed sub-goal 1 and have completed approximately 75% of sub-goal 2. I was successful as my goals this semester were realistic and achievable within the short time frame (10 weeks). In total I created 4 unique and specific activities to assist in achieving my overarching learning goal.
Professional Goals I would like to pursue a career in healthcare administration, which is my ultimate goal. From there, I would like to work in a hospital setting where I can be of assistance to a larger population. Another goal I would like to achieve is earning a master’s degree in healthcare administration. While a bachelor's degree is needed for entry-level positions, a master’s degree can help me advance in my career and provide opportunities to work in certain areas that require this particular degree. Additionally, I would like to improve my communication skills, as it is an essential aspect of healthcare administration.

Becoming organized is also something I plan on achieving soon, as I will be applying to colleges in just over six months and a lack of organization can prevent me from receiving admission to college. In addition to these goals, one long term goal I have to to increase my appreciation for the supportive community I have at the L&N STEM Academy. Having teachers who care so deeply for their students is incredibly motivating. My most prominent goal would likely be going to a college that would make my family, friends, and teachers proud, as I would not have achieved anything without them. As I am preparing for a new chapter in my life, I have put a lot thought in about what I want out of life and what to look forward to as I get older. In order for one to achieve anything, they need to set goals to reach for. I have a handful of goals for my future, short term and long term, that I will actively work towards in my college years and beyond. In my time at UW Eau Claire, I plan to be involved and engaged in student activities on campus. Being active will help me meet new people, build a better resume, and have fun at college. At UWEC, I would like to get involved in anything musical, along with various clubs and Greek life. Similarly, another goal of mine is to have a job on campus. All your life growing up, you don 't have to make any big decisions. This all changes senior year when you have to make a decision about what you are going to do with your life after high school. What you choose to do can dictate how you spend your time and money. If you do not make a choice you will not be able to move on towards being a self supporting adult. Decisions are hard to make but essential to keep moving forward.
What is my personal purpose? Is a question that I have never thought to ask myself until recently. Then when I started learning more about a personal purpose I started wondering if I have one and what it was. I never thought of myself has having a real purpose until a watched an interview Will Smith had did and he had said “When your life means something to someone other than yourself than you have a purpose.” That is when I realized that I have a purpose. My purpose is that I am the hug that let others know it is going to be ok. My personal goals is to be genuinely happy with myself and life and to make my parents proud, my career goal is to own my own business and being successful at doing so, finally, my educational goal is to get my bachelors degree and grauate with honors and even moving on to getting my masters. Having goals is important to me because I know that while I am in the process of accomplishing them I will have something great to look forward to in the end.
When planning for our future it is important to have clear goals in mind and to understand the steps that need to be taken to achieve those goals. My long-term goal is to run my own counseling center and employee at least one other person. Some Skills I already possess that will allow me to succeed with this plan are my ability to relate to people and be consistent in following the steps needed, even though it will be a long and tedious process.
