Football is a sport that includes the risk of getting serious injuries. Watching football has been called unethical due to watching and cheering for players to hit each other, which can result in serious injury. Football is not unethical to watch or play because it is a career that players knowingly play with the knowledge of the risks to their health.
Many people think more about what kind of food they are going to get for the game then the risks these players face with everyday they are on the field. The evidence of this has been overwhelming, CTE has been found in basically every player's brain that has killed themselves.

What people have to understand is that football basically owns a day of the week, so instead of trying to dismantle the sport continue to inform the players about what they can do and try and find ways to make it safer. “Short of banning football or capping how long players can play (which seems unlikely given the extraordinary pay incentives and loyal fanbase), as long as people keep watching football, football will still be played” (team kenan).
