Homer conveys the theme of vengeance several times throughout book ten because it is the story of Circe. Circe, a goddess living on the island Aeaea, made vengeance a big part of her characterization during her story. Circe and vengeance are together in characterization because she gave back what the men she encountered deserved. The men acted like pigs in their life so she took it into her own hands to make them into how they act.
