Love is Blinding Romeo and Juliet by William Shakespeare shows the story of two star crossed lovers who embark on a journey of forbidden love, as Romeo is a Montague and Juliet is a Capulet which are rivaling families. The time when they meet to their suicides is all very short lived. Along with the chaos that is surrounding the deaths of Romeo and Juliet, the story has a common theme that is shown within their relationship, that being, how they were totally blinded by their love for each other and which caused them not show a care in the world. In the beginning Romeo makes questionable decisions which sparks the topic of conversation being blind by love. Going off of that last example, in the start of Romeo and Juliet, Romeo is in love with another girl named Rosaline but is rejected because she wants to be nun. After the party is over, Juliet's Nurse helps Romeo figure out who her “mystery girl” is but her nurse comes with some disheartening news: “ What is her mother/ Marry, bachelor, Her mother is the lady of the house/ And a good lady, and a wise and virtuous/ I nursed her daughter that you talked withal/ I tell you, he that can lay hold of her/ Shall have the chinks/ Is she a Capulet?/ O dear account! As shown with this statement, Juliet is teared apart with this news that her Nurse brings“His name is Romeo, and a Montague/The only son of your great enemy/ My only love sprung from my only hate!/ Too early seen unknown, and known too late!/ Prodigious birth of love it is to me/ That I must love a loathèd enemy (i.v.136-141)”.
