In the movie, Beowulf leader of the danes make mistakes, as in the poem he doesn't make mistakes. In both movies, he has heroness, power and glory. In the poem, which is the opposite of what i'm trying to say, he is a perfect hero, no mistakes, and a proud man. First off, Beowulf has killed himself by sleeping with Grendel's mother and sold his soul to her. Which secondly, obviously she wanted a child, so that child is a dragon, which is Beowulf's son. Which leads to keeping a secret from all the danes back home and becoming a guilty man who can't own up to his mistakes.
Well first off, Beowulf sleeping with Grendel's mother was a mistake, she´s evil and he knows that but he still gives in because he wanted to be a king. Where in the poem Beowulf does not sleep with Grendel's mother and he actually kills her. In the movie she tricks him by says that she will make him a king with money, happiness and peacefulness for his people. So that´s when he gives in gives her what she wants because he's a young warrior who wants what every young warrior wants, to be a king. …show more content…

A monster and curse made for himself to fight when he grows up, to be big enough to wipe out the whole village full of danes. Where has, if he didn't sleep with Grendel's mother and killed her like he was supposed too, there wouldn't be a problem to be worrying about and guilt to live with.
