This type of leader self-worth is not in a self-serving manner, but have a sense of purpose, which is a great strength of their leadership (Bass and Avolio, 1994). Transformational leaders energize their followers, by doing so when they delegate responsibility to their team, the members are able to pursue organizational goals in a broad manner (Bass and Avolio, 1994). The concept of transforming/transformational leadership is the process in which the leader and follower help one another to develop a greater level of morale and motivation (Anonymous, N.D.). According to Burns, the transforming approach was to generate substantial change in the life of the people and organization to aspire the followers (Anonymous, N.D.). Through further research, Bass transformational approach measured the leader in terms of their impact on the followers. The qualities of the transformational leader presented trust, loyalty, and respect towards their followers. The objective of this particular paper is to evaluate the importance of transformational leadership in a classroom and how it affects the students, regarding their performance. In order to evaluate this notion, a questionnaire was disseminated among fifty students at Forman Christian College University. Data was gathered, analyzed and results were compiled so that a conclusion could be reached.
