On March 24, 2016, officers were dispatched to a scene where a male subject was trying to gain entry into a vehicle using a hammer. Upon arrival officers made contact with a male subject who was later identified as Keith Hunt, the defendant, and the victim. The victim explained to the officers she was standing near the trunk of her vehicle when Mr. Hunt approached, He attempted to keep into her vehicle without permission; so she confronted the defendant and tried to secure her vehicle. Mr. Hunt demanded she give him the keys and her wallet. The victim stated the defendant had a hammer in his hand and was threatening her with it while he was telling her to hand over the property. On 01-01-17 at 0023 hours I was monitoring the radio and heard that Officer Harrell #3441 and Officer Thebeau #8402 were involved in a vehicle pursuit in the area of Fair Oaks Avenue and Corson Street. I responded to the above location to assist. They advised responding units that the suspect was involved in a traffic collision on the eastbound 210 Freeway Fair Oaks Avenue off-ramp.
I spoke to Mike Hoover who stated he was assault at 16124 South 401st Street by Hunter Jones. Mike stated he went to Leith Jones home to retrive a fishing pole that Hunter had. Mike started Leith and Hunter came to his home eariler this week to retrive some shorts that belonged to Hunter.

On November 13, 2015 at 8:00 pm, the accused was in the area of Wellington Avenue and Simcoe Street at which time he noticed the police and started acting in a suspicious manner, ducking behind parked cars, jogging between houses into back lanes and attempting to evade the police officers.
On August 15, 2012, officers responded to a responded to a reported kidnapping by the victim. When officers arrived, they met with the victim who explained she had come to the house as a call out dancer. A male subject, later identified as Thomas Lundahl, the defendant answered the door and pulled her in the house then began talking to her. The victim told the officers Mr. Lundahl had a knife on his hip and was wearing a ball cap embodied with “FBI” (Federal Bureau of Investigation). Due to the hat the victim asked if he was FBI or a task force, the defendant responded that she was going to wish he was the F.B.I. An unidentified young female came out of a room with duct tape. The victim believing she was in danger attempted to use her telephone; but, Mr. Lundahl knocked it out of her hand. The young female taped up the victim’s calves, hands, and mouth; the tape was not secure very well on the victim’s hands or mouth.
On February 27th, 2014 I had the pleasure to interview Detective Vincent Velazquez who was referred to me by Professor Paul Guerrucci. Vincent currently works at the Atlanta Police Department located in 226 Peachtree Street, Atlanta, GA 30303. On the day of the interview, I was a little anxious since this was actually the first time I interview a crime investigator, however Vincent was very professional and he allowed me to record the entire conversation. I was able to ask questions about his personal life, full details of his profession, current case assignments, criminal investigation procedures and existing problems in the investigation process.

Growing up in working class family, my mom worked all the time for the living of a big family with five kids, and my dad was in re-education camp because of his association with U.S. government before 1975. My grandma was my primary guardian. “Go to study, go to read your books, read anything you like to read if you want to have a better life,” my grandma kept bouncing that phrase in my childhood. It becomes the sole rule for me to have better future. I become curious and wonder what the inside of reading and write can make my life difference. In my old days, there was no computer, no laptop, no phone…etc, to play or to spend time with, other than books. I had no other choice than read, and read and tended to dig deep in science books, math books, and chemistry books. I tended to interest in how the problem was solved. I even used my saving money to buy my own math books to read more problems and how to solve the problem. I remembered that I ended up reading the same math book as my seventh grade teacher. She used to throw the challenge questions on every quiz to pick out the brighter student. There was few students know how to solve those challenge questions. I was the one who fortunately nailed it every single time. My passion and my logic for reading and writing came to me through that experience, and also through my grandma and my mom who plant the seed in me, who want their kids to have happy and better life than they were. In my own dictionary, literacy is not just the ability to read and write, it is a strong foundation to build up the knowledge to have better life, to become who I am today.

I believe in storytelling. I believe that the stories society’s tell reflect the way the people in said societies live their lives. Embedded in our stories are our value systems, our hopes, and dreams. It’s through stories and shared experiences that people connect.
Even though sometimes research appears impersonal as data shows individuals become numbers in statistics, other designs exist that bring a personal touch to the data collection methods. Narrative research unlike other designs aims to gather data “through the collection of stories, reporting individual experiences, and discussing the meaning of those experiences for the individual” (Creswell, 2008, p. 512). By collecting stories from individuals through dialogue, the researchers may learn more about the lives of others as influenced by their surrounding environment. Researchers accomplish learn about the information shared by the individuals through story telling which is then analyzed by researchers through a process known as restorying. The data collected through story telling is raw and needs organization to determine the meaning of the stories shared (Creswell, 2008). Because everyone has stories of their own using this design is a great method to collect significant data and it is possible that individuals will not even be aware that their experiences can provide significant contributions to the study. The key to effectively presenting the stories as significant to the study lies behind properly restorying the data collected. To accomplish restorying, researchers need to follow a three-step process to transcribe the data collected into material that is useful to assist in determining the meaning of these stories (Creswell, 2008). Therefore, understanding why to engage in restorying is just as important as knowing the process because it helps the researcher focus on the purpose and goal of the study itself.
