Evolution Of The Space Race

Space travel has evolved over many years. Although we have only been on the moon, we are going to go far in space one day. Apollo missions are very important to space exploration because that is how we got to the moon. It was also called the space race because we were racing other people to the moon. The space race is the moment in history. The space movement has been a big part of our studies in science and our lives today through the space race, how tools have developed, and what we might do in the future. To kick off, the space race was the biggest thing people were talking about during the time of 1950 thru 1970. This period of time was the most important thing in the world, because it meant that we could explore more and more of space …show more content…

However, the foundations of spacecraft date back to the 11th century, when the Chinese developed the first known rocket.” This shows that there have been rockets longer than we even thought of going to the moon. Also according to Adam Bauer, he states,” Space tools are the most important thing in exploration.“ This just shows that space evolution has changed over so many years. It is truly incredible how we got from gunpowder to getting to space on the moon with a rocket ship. Another example of space tools changing over time is the telescope. The first telescope was made in 1608 by Isaac Newton and we still use it to this day for many reasons and studies. We found all of our planets with the telescope's help. One example of this is that we would have never found Pluto without the telescope we have today. The first telescope was only made for the ground and that was true for a long time because just like rocket ships they did not know and had the technology to send it to space to see what lay beyond them. Gradually, technology started to get smarter and better than it used to …show more content…

Mars is more than likely to be our next spot in our solar system. This is because it is the most like Earth and it is one of the closest planets to our Earth. According to Mars.nasa.gov, it states that NASA plans to go to Mars around the year 2030. This would lead to big study and if we needed a new planet we could move there in an emergency. We do not have the technology to go to Mars yet, but we could do it in the future. Space crafts will help us go far in space one day, but it will take some time to get there now. In a nutshell, space travel has and still will evolve over many years now. Although we have only been on the moon, we are going to go far in space in the future. Apollo missions are very important to space exploration because that is how we got to the moon and it helps us learn from our mistakes. It was also called the space race because we were racing other people to the moon. The space race is the moment in history.
