Eve Bunting's Fly Away Home

Across the world people struggle with staying positive.There not focused on good.They only see what’s bad. In the story, “Fly Away Home” by Eve Bunting, Andrew and his father live in an airport after Andrew’s mom died they lost their apartment but they always try to stay positive and grateful for shelter at the airport that some people don’t have.They have faith in getting an apartment and saving up money.They both focus on good during the bad times.

To begin with in “Fly Away Home” Andrew shows us it’s important to work hard. He keeps working by taking luggage carts back for fifty cents each.Andrew is also working for an apartment.He won’t give up on getting the apartment and helping his dad in the story it says “he and i collect luggage

carts for 50 cents each if crowds are big and safe we offer to carry bags”.

Further more in “Fly away home” The author tells us to never give up.In the story a little brown bird got into the main terminal and couldn’t get out. Andrew watched it chanting it on.”Don’t stop trying”i told it silently.”Don’t!You can get out.This shows that Andrew knows not to give up.

Therefore In“Fly away home” we learn it’s important not to give up and if you work hard it pays off.It teaches us that if we work hard you will achieve your goal. Andrew works hard and saves up in his shoe to get an apartment.This shows us not to give up or lose hope in ourselves even when things couldn’t get any worse. Difficult roads often lead to beautiful destinations.
