1.0 INTRODUCTION
1.1 Background The program that I have chosen is Bachelor of Information Technology (Hons) Business Information Management in HELP University. The aim of this program is to provide understanding of the issues involved in develop and managing information systems in a current business context. This program also gives students the appropriate knowledge and skills to enable them to adopt with the field of managing and developing effective information systems in business environment. While in the program of Bachelor of Science Information System Management (Hons) in UiTM, this program recognizes information as strategic resource. The purpose is to educate and train students with knowledge and skills in how the way of managing information. This include of analyze, design, develop, and managing various types of information systems for identifying, acquiring, organizing, storing, and retrieving as well as disseminating information for users strategic and competitive purposes. Overall I choose HELP University as to compare with the program that is Bachelor of Science Information Management (Hons) because I find the program is interesting and the subjects offer also is appropriate with the requirements of job in current situation that is the business field has become so famous. Besides that, I choose this program because there are several similarities and differences compare to Information System Management.
1.2 Issues and Problems
In the aspect of issue and problems, I think that this two program do not has any problems because this two program was updated and this program also has been well known by the students and can attract students. “Constant efforts, dedication, devotion and determination are the key to success” This principle I have followed in my career. Setting goals and striving hard to accomplish them has always been my strength in professional as well as personal life. I have always been amazed by computers, code –programs and was keen to understand the underlying meaning, gimmick, structure and pattern of how programs actually work. Learning about simple Foxpro programs, excel sheet formulae, C programs at an early age heightened my interest in computer programs. This childhood interest urged me to do a diploma in information technology and later bachelor’s degree in the same area. Having completed six years course in Information Technology, and two years of experience in IT. I stand by the principal “Stay Hungry” and this has helped me in achieving my goals. Standing by this I would like to explore ahead and pursue MS in MIS. I would like emerge to put to use this knowledge to pursue MS program in MIS.
