“I can't believe it! Am I seeing this right? I am so excited and grateful to God for his favor and direction in my life. I have to call my Mom to share this great news. Oh man, she’s still at work. Ok, I can do this, oh my God, let me read this again, yes!” And all of this from an envelope in the mail saying that I got what I had been waiting for! I was born to loving parents and a loving home. However, my parents divorced when I was young resulting in me being raised by my loving Mom. She raised me to have intelligence, use common sense, and to have values, and morals. She always told me I can do anything I wanted to do as long as it was not illegal or immoral. Growing up, I was inspired and supported by my Mom as well many other family members that all are important to me. I was influenced by them and other mentors that I was placed around. I was also involved in many activities in church, sports, scouting, and music just to name a few. Through these wonderful people and activities, learned how to manage time, communicate effectively, develop good work ethics, appreciate people, know the proper value of things, dare to dream, and to always believe in myself. …show more content…

I learned how to stand up against this bully and resolve the issues and I can credit that to having a supporting home that validated me as a person, help me to evaluate the issue the person was having wasn’t me but was within his self and his own inadequacies. This event made me more aware of bullying and helped me to be able to help others who I saw experiencing bullying later on. I helped them to have a voice, gave them the support of a friend and to develop conflict
