Who is someone you are thankful to have in your life and why are you thankful for them? One of the people in my life that I am thankful for is my dad. He is thoughtful, kind, and caring. That is just some of the reasons why I am thankful for him. My dad is a good man, he always does what is asked of him, he is outgoing for any and all people. I feel that my dad should get more recognition. One reason my dad should get more acknowledgement is because he is a very caring person. He doesn’t hate anybody, or animals and all. He is always trying to do what he can to help anybody who needs it. He also is nice to everyone he comes across, he never talks trash behind someone's back. My dad is a very caring person, especially once you get to know
One of my earliest memories of Grandpa begins with us driving to the Monmouth Park Racetrack. We sure did love to go to the track and root for Julie Krone or one of our other favorite jockeys. He loved challenges, and he especially loved the challenge of picking the ponies. He would read the race programs in the Asbury Park Press and usually pre-pick most of the day's favorite horses before ever leaving the house. Still, on arrival, we always bought the program and maybe a race sheet or two before entering the track grandstand. After picking up a couple of seats right around the finish line or maybe a little past it, back to figuring he'd go. As he went, grandpa would always point out the horses that had won recently or looked like they were due. "I have a feeling about this one" he'd say.
On behalf of my entire family, I want to thank all of you for your compassion and for being present here today. For those of you who don't know me, my name is Mauri-Lynne, and I'm Lionel's daughter. Dad was devoted to every one of you. We all hope that you'll share your memories of him with us, if not today then in the weeks and months to come.
Once upon a time, a 18 year old named Juan was going to work in his father’s vegetable market. Juan always goes to help out his father no matter what. Him and his dad moved to Jerusalem from a village in Jordan. His mother had passed away from a wound infection. His father didn’t have enough money for medicine, so that’s why she died. They moved so they wouldn’t struggle anymore, and so they can live a different life. Juan is a very helpful, nice, intelligent, and had a very prodigious heart . Everyone in Juan’s village liked him, but his bullies, John and Josh, just hated him. They always bullied Juan on a daily basis just because they were jealous of how Juan was loved by everyone. While Juan was helping out his dad, Juan and Josh went to his dad’s store and Josh started to say that he and Juan’s girlfriend Emily were in love and that Emily didn’t love Juan anymore. He was just ignoring them because he knew that it wasn’t true, so he continued on working.
I stand before you today to pay my last respects, and to say my final goodbyes, to my father Harry.
Eulogy for Son The Death of a Child. Not many people realize that the death of a child is NOT in accordance with God’s NORMAL scheme of things. It is not a natural. God did not mean for a child to go first. A child buries the parent.
He is the type of person that makes me very proud to say that he is my father, and the type of father that I am most fortunate to have. My father and I have always been very close. He is both loving and caring and the type of person that always puts his family first.
Today, the most difficult day in my family’s life, we gather to say farewell to our son, brother, fiancé and friend. To those of you here and elsewhere who know Dylan you already are aware of the type of person he was and these words you will hear are already in your memory. To those who were not as fortunate, these words will give you a sense of the type of man he was and as an ideal for which we should strive. My son has been often described as a gentle soul. He was pure of heart and had great sensitivity for the world around him. He had a way with people that made them feel comfortable around him and infected others to gravitate toward him. Dylan exuded kindness and pulled generosity and altruism out from everyone he touched. He was everyone's best friend.
We are all gathered here to celebrate our parents but I am here to highlight the importance of our fathers and the fatherly figures in their accomplishments in raising us, their strength in protecting us, and their success in shaping us to where we are today. The role fathers play in the development in their kids is unparalleled to any
Who is someone you are thankful for having in your life and why are you thankful for them? Someone I’m thankful for is my boyfriend, Ozzy, because he is funny, caring, and kind. The first reason I’m thankful for Ozzy is because he is very funny. My second reason is that he is very caring. My final reason is that Ozzy is very kind. These are three reasons that I’m very thankful for Ozzy.
Before I begin I would like to thank all of you here on behalf of my mother, my brother and myself, for your efforts large and small to be here today, to help us mark my fathers passing.
He is a great example of what it means to be strong, courageous, motivated, and passionate. I never tell him this, but he is definitely one of my role models. He has taught me how to be strong, how to be motivated, the value of being passionate, caring for your family, how to succeed in life, not letting anything stop you from achieving what you want to accomplish, how to be a leader, and how to be a man. I will never be my dad, but one thing for sure is that I will someday come out as someone great because of the values he passed down to me. One of my favorite quotes from him is this, “the only time you fail is when you quit.” There are many times when we struggle, and we think that we are failing at our respective tasks. The thing is, you cannot fail if you continue working. Bill Gates was unsuccessful many times before he found the right solution to his product. Einstein was unsuccessful many times before he found the right solution to his problem. I’m sure even Beres Hammond or Gregory Isaacs did not get the right sound the very first time they recorded; it took some time before they became legends. As long as you continue working on your craft, failure is not on the table, and my father hasn’t failed yet, and never will. His drive is too strong for that. All in all, I hope that all of you have been impacted in some way by Lester King. Every great king leaves a great example for all
I want to thank my mom and dad because they are always there to support me in every decision I make. My mom works so hard to support me and my two siblings since we were little. She sacrifice a lot for us to have a good life and to have a good education. My mom is from the Philippines and went to HongKong to work and fulfill our needs, she sacrifice her life and time for us. When she was offered to work here in Canada she accepted the offer and though of bringing us here, since there are a lot of opportunity for us here. She worked two years in Hongkong and six years in Canada, she's been away for us for eight years she did not mind doing it because she needs to be there for us. She always think of our future and our lives first before her.
My dad is just like one of my friends. The first reason why is because he and I are always joking around with each other. I can be myself completely with my dad. Although my dad may be an adult, he still likes to have a little fun from time to time. One of our favorite things to do is to play pranks on each other. It is hilarious! We usually play pranks on my mom when she's not expecting it. Another reason why my dad is just like one of my friends is because I can always count on him.
One person that cares, adores, and is thankful is of course, my mom. I am thankful for my mom because she is always there to help me. She gets a chance to help me whenever she is home. Even though she isn’t an eighth grade teacher, I go right to her and she tries her best to help me.
My dad is a hero to me because he shows me strength he explains the bad choices he has made in his life so that I can make the good choices. If it wasn’t for my mom and Jesus, my dad wouldn’t be who he is today. My dad is a man of honor to My Lord and Savior. He shows me that if I ever need help with a decision, I need to either go to him or ask God for help. When my dad started working here in Greeley, he, my mom, and I all had to make a decision to move up here. My mom and I didn’t get to see my dad a lot in Trinidad, so that’s when my mom said we were going to move up here to be him.
