My dear Rick, I want to let you know how very, very much I love and respect you. I know that you know I love you but I wanted to tell you today how very special my life has been having you as my dad. Thank you for taking the challenge when no one else cared. Thank you that you gave me a strong love for family...That you instilled in me a strong commitment to my family. I have so many wonderful memories of our relationship. I appreciate so much your sense of humor. It has always been fun to laugh with you. You have unselfishly given to me throughout my life. Thank you for never complaining about all the work it took. In fact, I honestly thought you did it because you enjoyed it. It makes me proud to tell others about you. Thank you for
One of my earliest memories of Grandpa begins with us driving to the Monmouth Park Racetrack. We sure did love to go to the track and root for Julie Krone or one of our other favorite jockeys. He loved challenges, and he especially loved the challenge of picking the ponies. He would read the race programs in the Asbury Park Press and usually pre-pick most of the day's favorite horses before ever leaving the house. Still, on arrival, we always bought the program and maybe a race sheet or two before entering the track grandstand. After picking up a couple of seats right around the finish line or maybe a little past it, back to figuring he'd go. As he went, grandpa would always point out the horses that had won recently or looked like they were due. "I have a feeling about this one" he'd say.
On behalf of my entire family, I want to thank all of you for your compassion and for being present here today. For those of you who don't know me, my name is Mauri-Lynne, and I'm Lionel's daughter. Dad was devoted to every one of you. We all hope that you'll share your memories of him with us, if not today then in the weeks and months to come.
I stand before you today to pay my last respects, and to say my final goodbyes, to my father Harry.
I'd like to thank you all for the outpouring of support and condolences on the loss of my beautiful son Adam. My entire family appreciates it. This is my eulogy to Adam:
Eulogy for Son First, I would like to say thank you for the tremendous outpouring of love and affection from our community at last night’s viewing for John. Roger at the funeral home told us this was the largest turnout he could remember. Close to 1,000 friends—and many people who were merely touched by John’s story—waited up to four hours in the rain to pay their respects. We want you to know how very grateful and very touched we were by the response.
I want to thank the most wonderful parents a child could ever have. Not only for the love, support and guidance over the years, but also for everything you’ve done towards today. Your massive contribution has been priceless and without you both we would have never managed and today would not have been possible or so special. Thank you Mom and Dad from the bottom of our hearts. And thank you Virginia for having such a wonderful son.
Good afternoon, let me just start by saying that the kindness, support, friendship, and love extended to me and my family during this difficult time has really touched my heart- we are sincerely appreciative!
Before I begin I would like to thank all of you here on behalf of my mother, my brother and myself, for your efforts large and small to be here today, to help us mark my fathers passing.
Kevin, you are a star and I cannot thank you enough for all that you do. I really enjoyed getting to know you and hear some of your amazing stories. You have truly inspired me to become the best me that I can. To Mr. Willson, I leave a story. Your stories are both inspirational and interesting.
I hope you understand how lucky we are to have you in our family. I remember the first time I met John and could see how nervous he was to meet my family, But I could see how well they both complemented each other, how happy they were together and how they shared the same morals and values. As I got to know John more, He became a friend and not this dude that was dating my sister. My fondest memory of John is from his first christmas with my family.. Like every other year my mom would buy our traditional christmas pajamas..
Until the time doctor declared that we are not in good condition I know we made you worried and cried. And now it has been four years, we are celebrating the father's day same day you become a father. I want to take this opportunity to say thank you, I appreciate every little and big things you have done to us. Sorry for we always make you worried. I'm so proud of you, not only
I know Daniel Mejia since I was five-years-old. He is always there for me and my little brother. I am glad that Daniel is in my life as my father because I love him as one and he loves me like I am his own blood. Yes, we do argue at times, but that’s how father’s and daughters are.
To my beloved Cesario, My love for you is endless as the ocean and as intense as the sun. I have endless riches, and yet for just a chance to spend the rest of my life in your company, I would be willing to give it all away. Getting married to you was my dream come true. So thank you, Cesario. Thank you for returning my pure feelings of love.
The morning of April 12, 2000 in Port Arthur, Texas was like no other. In a week where it had been sunny most of the time, this day poured with rain. The sky was filled with rain clouds all of which made it look like a depressing day. As the rain kept pouring cats and dogs, a baby wailed and wailed at a local hospital. I had just recently been born and was taken away by the doctors.
I just wanted to thank you for all that you have done for me. I don't think you realize how much you inspire me and I am so proud of the person you've become and are still becoming. I understand you've been through a lot and you haven't made the best choices, but I can see that you have grown. Truthfully, I've known from the first time I met you to now, that you were a strong person.
