Everyday minerals from the earth are extracted, removed and formed into something new, when you look back, to pause and ponder at what has been formed, the human mind will be amazed. "This.. Came from that?" beautiful rubies have been created from very specific minerals which are combined together, and glittery diamonds have been formed from coal which has been under great pressure, but it isn't such a magical story when the curtains are unveiled, and the truth is shown. Where are the ethical principles which hold this industry together? A shovel is dug back into the ground, the wind blows onto the small particles of dirt, revealing the business conduct of the mining industry, but the ethical principles have been crushed just like how the rocks of the earth have been crushed, for they have not turned into gold, nor diamonds, nor rubies, these ethical principles of business conduct have been forgotten away in the wind, of toxic fumes. We see men with blood stains on their clothes, they remind us of the coal which has been forced under great levels of pressure, yet these people are not formed into something so beautiful, they are left inhaling toxic fumes, layering mercury to separate metal from rock, the neurotoxin delicately handled with their bare hands, just like how the truth is delicately handled and separated, forming into a lie.
According to the Oxford Dictionary (2014) ethics is defined as "Moral principles that govern a person’s behaviour or the conducting of an activity" and "The branch of knowledge that deals with moral principles", so basically your ethics, or one's ethics are a set of principles, which shape your behaviour, they portray who you are, conducting your behaviour, actions, and words. ...t concluded that the amount of expenditure for the companies, collectively, was over $55 billion.(Lannin 2013). According to Terry Heymman, who is a member of this council, the amount also included payments to communities, payments to employers and employees, to businesses and suppliers and governments. (Gold 2013). Terry Heymman also stated that the benefits of gold mining are so great, they can't be measured; even the economy benefits from gold mining, royalties are everywhere, making up a huge section of the government's total revenue (Lannin 2013). Also, a few of the top members of a Wisconsin sand mining industry aimed to improve the association standards by creating a strict code of conduct. Even though they already had high levels of environmental protection, management and safety, they wanted to improve them, they aimed for self-regulation. (Rivedal 2012)

Ethics is defined by as the “branch of philosophy dealing with values relating to human conduct, with respect to the rightness and wrongness of certain actions
Ethics is a doing and learning experience which causes us as humans to keep an open mind to change. Generally, ethics ask us to live mindfully, to think how we act and even how we feel or do things, which can change the outcome. Sometimes we go down certain roads, which may be harder or make things more complicated or complex instead of making an easier option we just take the easier way out, usually the way that calls for
Where the minerals that America uses came from? Americans use and waste large amounts of substance and material every day. Most people disregard and ignore the places where this material may come from. Putting little to no time into researching on the subject, makes it difficult to ever figure out and appreciate the stories and history behind our beloved substance and consumption of it. But actually putting the effort of working and looking into it, someone may be pleasantly surprised at the amount of backstory on it, and may find it rather interesting. So if someone were to say, look into the history of the Berkeley pit. They would most likely find plenty of sources explaining how it supplied copper and many minerals for the U.S. for years. Of course anyone who already knew information on the pit could tell you its amazing and introcut stories of how it came to be, and how it has been doing over the years. The pit is a “toxic attraction” in the town of Butte. Being the town’s income and source of tourism. Most people in Butte Montana, the home of the pit, could tell how amazing it is.
Explain the connection between the economic model of corporate social responsibility and “free market” or “neoclassical” economic theory.
Ethics is a term used to describe how you conduct yourself with you patients, co-workers and society. Ethical knowing is judgments about what is good, what is right, and what is important. Ethical knowing guides how people conduct themselves in life and work. It helps one determine what is most significant, and what priorities mandate advocacy.
Ethics are the set beliefs and values of an individual which they apply to circumstances relating to morality. To act in an ‘ethical’ manner, an individual must display integrity by doing what they believe to be right.
I would define the term ethics as moral principles of right and wrong. I believe my religion and spirituality have a lot to do with what I view as right or wrong, or as ethical. Also, my religion is Catholic Christian and I strongly believe in God, so when I am faced with an ethical issue I often times think of what God would view as the right thing to do. For example, I believe in the Ten Commandments, and I believe it is wrong to act in ways against these commandments. “You shall not murder, you shall not commit adultery, and you shall not steal.” These are commandments numbers six through eight and I believe they are ethical and the right thing to do. This often influences my decisions, and makes me want to do better.
Though it has had many negative impacts on the environment in the past, mining is a vital industry completely necessary to our economy and lives. Nearly every item we use or encounter in our day to day lives is mined or contains mined products. Without the excavation of such materials things like computers, televisions, large building structures, electricity, and cars would not be possible. Virtually every technological and medical advance uses minded materials, without which millions would suffer. Some examples of minerals in the home include the telephone which is made from as many as 42 different minerals, including aluminum, beryllium, coal, copper, gold, iron, silver, and talc. A television requires over 35 different minerals, and more than 30 minerals are needed to make a single personal computer. Without boron, copper, gold and quartz, your digital alarm clock would not work. Every American uses an average 47,000 pounds of newly mined materials each year, which is higher than all other countries with the exception of Japan, which is a staggering figure representative of our dependence and need for mined minerals. Coal makes up more than half of nation’s electricity, and will continue to be the largest electrical supplier into 2020 & accounting for some 95 percent of the nation's fossil energy reserves – nine of every ten short-tons of coal mined in the United States is used for electricity generation. As the population of the world grows more mineral resources must be exploited through mining in order to support the rising demand for such products. Though it may present a hazard to the environment and those physically located nears the mines, the materials extracted from mines...

"According to Norman E. Bowie, "Ethics is two things. First, ethics refers to well based standards of right and wrong that prescribe what humans ought to do, usually In terms of rights, obligations, benefits to society, fairness, or specific virtues. Ethics, for example, refers to those standards that impose the reasonable obligations to refrain from rape, stealing, murder, assault, slander, and fr...

In our days, mining for resources is inevitable. The resources we need are valuable in everyday life. Such resources mined up are coal, copper, gold, silver, and sand. However, mining poses environmental risks that can degrade the quality of soil and water, which can end up effecting us humans if not taken care of and many of the damages are irreversible once they have occurred.
