Identifying Information Bettina appears to be a trouble Child, I can only image the Parents dilemma in having to place Bettina in a boarding school. Then to know that Bettina has made several suicide attempts. Bettina parents was facing a difficult choice in placing their child in a boarding school or hospital for health life style. I did not read where the counselor make any case notes about what was happen with Bettina, I never read that the counselor meet with their boss and came up with a plan of action to help the child or interview her to see why she’s trying to kill herself and the most important thing of them all the counselor never reported to Bettina parents about what the child behavior was because he feels that she manipulative.

CM:CPSW did a home visit and met with foster parent (Dorothy Bensalih), Emeri and Cantarah were present during the visit. Cantarah was playing with her iPad and Emeri was sitting next to her. CPSW talked with Cantarah briefly and asked about school and any other concerns. Cantarah reported that she is doing well and excited about her new iPad and plays with it after school, she said. Emeri was playing with his sister and seemed shy during the visit. CPSW asked Ms. Dorothy about any concerns with Cantarah's school. She reported that she went to school recently and talked with Cantarah's teachers and they reported no concerns to her. CPSW asked Ms. Dorothy if Cantarah can be referred to a school therapist. Ms. Dorothy stated that she does not trust any therapist and believes that they will harm Cantarah's way of thinking. She stated that if there is an issue or concerns with Cantrarah then we solve the problem as a family instead of professional. She mentioned that she believes that therapists do make situations more difficult and does not want Cantarah to go through the trauma.

For one, she did not cope well the the death of her mother. According to Simard, Maria’s constant driving on the freeway “might represent a desire for a reunion with the mother, since her mother’s suicide was in an automobile” (Simard Page). That shows deep seated scar so to speak and that definitely requires help from professionals. Furthermore, Maria has to cope with the retardation of her daughter. That must be one the worst experiences a mother can have. All the same, Maria’s actions are contradictory to her desires to reunite with her daughter. She visits her and wants to be with her. Maybe Maria’s treatment works and it encourages and helps her to forget about her dreadful experiences and memories. Ethics is the judgement and the moral actions used in interactions with cultures and society and its focus is on the client well-being. Ethics is defined by Remley and Herlihy (2010) in the counseling field as “professional behavioral and interactions” (p.4). Counselors do rely and are guide by Codes of Ethics. The role and relevance of the ethical principals, the ACA and AMHCA Code of Ethics are the base of the counseling profession. Suicide is the third leading cause of death for 15 to 24 year olds, and the sixth leading cause for 5 to 14 year olds. Suicide accounts for twelve percent of the mortality in the adolescent and young adult group. Young males are more common than young woman suicides. These are only children who followed through with the suicide. For every successful suicide there are fifty to one hundred adolescent suicide attempts. In other words, more than five percent of all teenagers tried to commit suicide, and the number is still rising. It is scary to think that four percent of high school students have made a suicide attempt within the previous twelve months. In a small safe town like Avon, in the Avon High School where you and I practically live, you can see the faces of 22 students that have tried to commit suicide. That is enough to fill a classroom.
