Ethics is the branch of philosophy that deals with the principles correlated to human behavior concerning the rightness and wrongness of specific conduct, and to the good and bad that influences and ends those actions (Dictonary.com, 2017). In other words, ethics is the choice people effect regarding a decision they need to achieve. Ethical Issue is “A problem or situation that requires a person or organization to choose between alternatives that must be evaluated as right (ethical) or wrong (unethical).” (Businessdictionary.com 2017) Without ethics directing the choice an individual makes, moral preferences of what should or should not be done becomes irrelevant, and so creating ethical issues.

Abusive or intimidating behavior is the most common ethical problem within a business. Bullying by supervisors creates hostile environment, physical threats, being annoying, insults, yelling, ignoring someone are some issues that are faced within a business workplace.
There are three types of lies: Joking without malice, Commission lying is creating a false perception by choosing words that intentionally deceive the receiver, or creating noise. Having employers and employees who follow the simple rules of business and the simple rules of life, can create a business that will succeed. Without good personal ethics, following the laws, and enforcing codes of conduct a business in today’s world will not survive. Unfortunately, today there is no way of knowing whether an employee or employer will make good decisions on behalf of a company, nor if the owner will make the right decisions for the company.
