Introduction

This essay outlines ethical conduct in the workplace, which the focused business chosen was Slater and Gordon (“ S&G”). The essay will go into detail ethical issues that S&G, which will describe the meaning of ethical conduct, mean in a company, and their way of dealing with this it in a working environment of the company. Hence listing the tools of ethical conduct that S & G have set out to help in a working environment .I found some of the tools such as; code of conduct statement, Professional behaviour, integrity, confidentiality and privacy, conflict of interest, code of violation , gifts and entertainment, S&G premises and legal compliances.

I also had to comment on the implications of ethical conduct of Slater, for the organisation and the employees. I then had to come up with some suggestions of improvement of policy and procedures. That would lead to ameliorate the ethical practices by the employees of S&G.

The ethical conduct that I think of in the organization of Slater and Gordon (“ S&G’) what the Code of Conduct would be is that it outlines behaviours for all S&G employees. Slater will conduct its business fairly, impartially, in an ethical and proper manner, that will comply with all applicable laws and regulations, and consistent with the S&G values.

In conducting its business, integrity must which underlie all company relationships, including those with customers, suppliers, and communities and among employees. The standards of ethical business conduct are required of S&G employees in the performance of their company responsibilities. Also we go into detail of the implication of ethical conduct in the workplace how this would affect the business, implication of ethical conduct in slater and Gordon is an obvious connection of both quality management and business ethics, which focus on the responsibilities of the organisation towards different stakeholders.

The responsibility discussed in quality management that refers, to organisational responsibility of employees. Then we go through some improvement of policies and procedures that would help the business. This would be all employees are expected to adhere to the highest standards, of ethical business conduct and to know and comply with S&G policies and procedures while performing company responsibilities.
