Yosemite National Park is located in the Eastern California(Sierra Nevada Mountains) It is South of Los Angeles and right of San Francisco and the state’s capital Sacramento. It is called Yosemite Falls. Yosemite has many impressive features and facts. It has 1,164 miles of coverage and about 4 million people come to visit Yosemite each year. The word Yosemite means killer. They named the National Park Yosemite of the Indian tribe that was not very nice and killed lots of people used to live their. Yosemite has lots of jagged rocks, canyons, viewpoints, and waterfalls. Yosemite is famous for it’s giant Sequoia groves. There are three types of a grove in the park that you can find them, but Mariposa Grove is the most famous one. There are lots of different species and species that have lived in Yosemite for many years, and one of them is the Sierra Nevada Bighorn Sheep. They have lived in Yosemite for over 100 years.
