Violence

“Poverty is the worst form of violence” Mahatama Gandhi.

Gandhi seemed to have the right idea of it. Violence seems to stem from frustrations of men, mainly caused by economic pressures, neediness, scarcity of resources, crime and war. In many cases, violence is just a form of self-defense even. It all does come down to poverty eventually. It is evident from various surveys and research that the ratio of violence, specifically against children in from of child labor, is higher in poor and under developed countries. Violence can be shown in a number of different ways. It can be psychological, or physiological. Violence may be targeted towards individuals, or even towards groups. Minority groups in various regions often find themselves victim to discriminatory violence. Violence may even be self-directed at times due to a number of different reasons. Self-loathing is the top reason for that. The most extreme form of this violence can even result in suicide attempts.

Violence Against Children

Children represent all that is innocent, pure and true in this world. They bring optimism to our lives, and are a symbol of mankind’s hope and redemption. Unfortunately, there are numerous cases of crimes against children. People perform the most unthinkable acts, which often result in a permanent, lifelong scar on the psyche of the victimized children. In doing so, these criminal minded people are destroying a whole family. These scarred children often grow up to be confused and scared citizens of the world and are unable to contribute positively towards life, unless they find help early on in their lives to get out of the trauma created by the violent acts performed against them.

...al and physical health of these children, only then will they grow up to be effective leaders of tomorrow. If we shield them from all physiological and psychological harm, only then will they be able to make successful decisions regarding the future of the planet. If they are scarred and damaged, they will fail as effective leaders and decision makers, hence leading the world into chaos and mayhem. It is the children who are our hope for tomorrow, and to save our world, we must first save our children. Every child is innocent. Every child is a wonderful future waiting to happen. It is our responsibility to save them from violence, fear and mistrust and save these millions of bright futures for the wellbeing of our world.
