Tom Roberts was born in Donchester , Dorset , England , he migrated with his family to Australia in 1869 to live with relatives. Setting in Collingwood , a suburb of Melbourne

, Victoria , he worked as a photographer’s assistant through the 1870s while studying art at night under Louis Buvelot and befriending others who were to become prominent artists , notably Frederick McCubbin. He returned to England for three years of full time art study at the Royal Academy Schools from 1881 to 1884.
Through the 1880s and 1890s Robert worked in Victoria , in his studio at the famous studio complex of Grosvenor Chambers at 9 Collins Street , Melbourne.

In 1885 he started painting and sketching excursions to other suburbs , creating camps at Boxhill and Heidelberg.

6. What is the history of this type of art form ?

Method of painting using pigments dispersed in oil. It is not known how oil painting was first developed , but in western Europe there are indications of it’s use from at least the 12th century AD , and it was widely used from the renaissance. This article discusses the characteristics and development of oil painting in western Europe.

Title : Shearing the rams Date Created : 1890
Shearing the rams was based on a visit to a sheep station at Brockleshy in southern New South Wales , depicted the wool industry that had been australia’s first export industry and a staple of rural life.

At the time it was exhibited , it was criticized because many critics did not feel that it fitted the definition of “high art”. However , since the wool industry was australia’s greatest export industry at the time , it was a theme with which many Australian people could identify and shows Roberts putting his training to work translating “the classical statuary into the brawny workers of the shearing shed”. Shearing would probably have been much messier than shown in the image , although shearing rules at the time did expect the sheep to be carried as shown in the picture.

Chrissie Holidays

It was the chrissie holidays. I wanted to have a big Barbie party. I asked my oldies to come and my aussie friends. I told my mum to bring her cozzie because it was a pool

I had to buy so much food at the shop , I got chokkie , chewie , bikkie’s and some lippy for my girlfriends. I also want to the bottleo to buy some wine.
In the arvo we went to see our rellie’s , at their house. My uncle pulled a sickie from work because it was Christmas. My girlfriend came as well wearing her new sumies , she looked a real beautie.
The family bought us some really cool prezzie’s. That the postie sent us prior to Christmas. The prezzie’s were really expensive like a new trackie. I really liked my family paying for the rego on my car. It was a great Christmas we avoided any family aggro.

I choose the sport is soccer , you can play it at park or stadium , there is 22 player in the game , 11 per side (Including goalkeeper).

In the lead up to the Centenary of Federation in 2001 , the development of Federation Square offered a unique opportunity – the chance to celebrate ideas of “Identity” and “place” through a much needed civic and cultural space.

Ellie Linton , a teen from and Australian coastal town , leads her friends on an excursion to a camp deep in the woods , debbed “Hell” , Upon their return , the youths find that their town has been overrun by an enemy army , and their friends and family have been imprisoned. When the hostile invaders become alerted to their presence , Ellie and her friends band together to escape and strike back against this mysterious enemy.
9. Describe what the characters were like in the movie. Think about how some became stronger and braver as they met with challenges.
Ellie is protagonist , Ellie is tough and has a can-do attitude while Fiona is majorly out of her element , and in their differences , we see both girls more clearly. Homer is also the natural leader of the group , he effortlessly inspires the group to make plans and take action , while Lee perhaps partially because he’s injured for much of the movies sits on the sideline. Homer’s all heart while Leo is all head. The antagonist is the invading Military , there soldiers are the reason Ellie and her pals have to hide out in the woods , and they’re the reason their families go missing and their pets die. They’re pretty much the source of every significant problem in the movies.

Describe the features of an Australian film
To the reviews that question the logic of the film and mentioned the driving around “without a care in the world” do not understand military parameters of making a perimeter.
In the film the only time they were driving freely was when they were outside of the city limits , where there were never soldiers.
When you play close attention to the small details you will notice things like that rather than writing in a review you found the movie “laughable”. I loved the human interaction and how the movie was crafted to not just be a war movie , but something much deeper about people from different walks of life coming together for a cause.
The acting i felt was also very well done , as well was the script. Every character develops in their own unique way , which gave the script a very complete feeling. I really don’t have any complaints for how it was presented , it was a very solid film. It was just missing a spark to push it over the top of being good to great.
