His parents were Tom Brady Sr. and Galynn Brady along with his three sisters, Julie, Nancy, and Maureen Brady. Sadly Brady often was in the shadow of his sisters’ athletic achievements, but he made a name for himself in baseball and basketball. Although Brady’s biggest passion is football, he went to most of the San Francisco 49ers games. He idolized Joe Montana and wanted to be a quarterback the same as Joe. When high school came around, he attended Junipero Serra High School, which produced MLB MVP Barry Bonds and Super Bowl MVP Lynn Swann. Tom Brady played quarterback his freshman year but was benched on his JV team until his junior year when the starter got injured.
Subsequently Brady kept that starting job for his varsity team until he graduated. On the negative side struggled to get the attention of college scouts until he sent his highlight tapes to colleges and then got many football scholarships from Division-One Schools. Due to the fact he also got on Blue Chip Illustrated as well as a Prep Football Report All-American selection. All in all Brady narrowed down his college selection to UCLA, USC, Michigan and, Illinois. On the contrary Brady also had to decide if he should go into the MLB due to getting drafted by the Montreal Expos in the eighteenth round. Although he is a great baseball player he was stuck on the football train and chose to go to the University of Michigan. When he first arrived in Michigan he became the seventh string quarterback struggling to improve every day for two years. As a result he got the starting job and started every game until the 1999 season. To conclude his college career he led a fourteen point comeback in overtime to beat Alabama in the Orange Bowl. To sum up his college career he won the Citrus and Orange Bowl as well as getting two All-Big Ten Honorable Mentions and leading Michigan to a Big Ten Conference …show more content…
Title. Brady was a lightly regarded prospect coming out of college, but he declared for the 2000 NFL Draft and expected to get drafted in at least the 3rd round, but as he slid and slid he got very frustrated and wondered if his dream is going to be crushed.
Once he finally got drafted in the 6th round, 199th pick by the New England Patriots he was both relieved and disappointed. Not surprisingly Brady did not let the scouts’ mistake dictate his career, he is determined to devise his own path to becoming the best. “I the best decision this organization has ever made,” Brady told Robert Kraft during his first time meeting Mr. Kraft” (Tom 2). During the 2000 Season Brady became the fourth string quarterback behind Drew Bledsoe, John Friesz, and Michael Bishop. Initially Brady did not get any playing time during the 2000 season, but he managed to get to 2nd string on the depth chart at the end of the season. The next year Brady got the starting job once Drew Bledsoe went down with an injury in the 2nd game of the season against the New York Jets. Surprisingly enough Brady struggled his first couple games, but then found his stride and led the Patriots to the playoffs while also making the Pro
Bowl. Tom Brady won his first playoff game against the Raiders in a close overtime win. In the Conference Championship against the Pittsburgh Steelers during the game, Brady went down with an injury, but luckily Bledsoe finished the game out and won. The Patriots were heading into the Super Bowl as huge underdogs expecting to get crushed by the St. Louis Rams in the “Greatest Show on Turf.” Brady got the starting job for the Super Bowl and led the Pats to a seventeen to three lead at the half. The Rams came back in the 2nd half and tied it at seventeen to seventeen with less than two minutes remaining most people thought that the Pats should run the clock out and go to overtime, but instead “Tom Terrific,” and the Patriots drove down the field in spectacular fashion to get into field goal range. Bam! Tom Brady the 199th pick who became the seventh string quarterback is now the youngest QB to win a Super Bowl. Off the field, Tom Brady was dating model Bridget Moynahan until 2006 when Brady and Bridget split up. Tom Brady started dating supermodel Gisele Bundchen in 2007, while Brady and Gisele were dating Brady found out his ex-girlfriend had given birth to their son John Edward Thomas Moynahan. In the meantime Brady than married Supermodel Gisele Bundchen in 2009. Soon after, Brady and Gisele had a boy named Benjamin Brady. In 2012 Brady and Gisele had a daughter named Vivian Lake Brady. Tom and Gisele are currently still happily married. Due to so much success, Tom Brady and the Patriots had been getting the NFL became suspicious. In 2007 the Patriots were accused of a scandal called Spygate. Spygate is the accusation of the Patriots filming the New York Jets Defensive Coaches’ Signals on their sideline which is illegal. Bill Belichick the Patriots head coach thought it is against the rules if the team did not use the film in the same game. Bill Belichick got fined five hundred thousand dollars and “Goodell ordered league officials to go into the Patriots facility and smash the films” (Tom 2). Later that year the Patriots went on to lose the Super Bowl. In 2014 Tom Brady was accused of Deflating Footballs in the AFC Championship against the Colts which is called Deflategate. A day after the Patriots won D’qwell Jackson Reported that the Patriots balls felt deflated when he intercepted Brady before the first half. The NFL then made an investigation led by Ted Wells which proved nothing because the investigation could not find any hard evidence to blame Brady. Roger Goodell still decided to take Brady to court for a four game suspension, but the court nullified the suspension and proved Brady innocent. Then Goodell took Brady to court again two years later and Brady was found innocent again, but Goodell could suspend him anyways, so he did for no reason at all. Consequently Goodell also fined Robert Kraft one million dollars and took away a first and a fourth round draft pick. On the positive side not even the Commissioner of the NFL could desist Brady from winning his fifth Super Bowl! Tom Brady has been playing at a tremendous level since his Junior to the oldest quarterback in the NFL at thirty nine years old, he seems to be immortal for playing at such a high level for so long. To keep in mind Brady has broken virtually every record and he does not seem to be slowing down anytime soon. Keep in mind Peyton Manning, who was thirty nine years old last year threw nine touchdowns and seventeen interceptions. On the other hand Brady threw for twenty eight touchdowns and two interceptions while missing the first four games of the season. Important to realize Brady won five Super Bowls so far, which is already the most by any player ever and most Super Bowl MVPs with four. He even has the most Super Bowls played in with nine and most wins ever by a player with two hundred and eight. Most passing yards in a Super Bowl along with most completions thrown in a Super Bowl. Most Super Bowl fourth quarter comebacks and most game-winning drives in the postseason. He also broke most of the playoff passing records for his career such as passing yards, touchdowns, completions, etc. Some of the awards Brady has won are three All-Pros, two Associated Press NFL Offensive Player of the Year Awards, Sports Illustrated Sportsperson of the Year, National Football League Comeback Player of the Year Award, Best NFL Player ESPY Award, Associated Press Athlete of the Year, Best Breakthrough Athlete ESPY Award, two AP Most Valuable Player, Bert Bell Award, NFL Honors - AP Comeback Player of the Year, Associated Press Male Athlete of the Year. Clearly Brady has won so many awards, broke so many records, and won so many games. Tom Brady has started off as a kid who nobody knew in the shadow of his sister's accomplishments and the seventh string QB in college to becoming the greatest quarterback ever, while fighting lots of adversity and then marrying a supermodel and have three kids. In conclusion Brady will go down as the greatest with so many awards, records, and Super Bowls. That type of success for that long is unprecedented for anyone in any sport and he is not even done yet. Tom Brady is an inspiration to everyone proving that people cannot tell you how good you are and that you do not need athleticism or skill all you need is passion. Due to the fact Brady competes and tries his best at everything on and off the field. Tom Brady has left a legacy in the sports world and is an inspiration to many people who have ever doubted themselves that is what make Tom Brady a hero.

Today I’m here to talk about how Tom Brady is a cheater. On February 1, 2015 super bowl XLIX was played. The game ended with the New England Patriates defeated the Seattle Seahawks 28-24. The balls used by the Patriates put in Tom Brady’s hands had been deflated prior to the game. The game was played in an over cast and rainy weather forecast. Where deflated balls would be easier to catch/throw.

Brett Favre grew up idolizing a pair of Southern quarterbacks, the Saints' Archie Manning and the Cowboys' Staubach. He grew up in Kiln, Mississippi and went to high school in there. His high school, Hancock North Central, honored him this past May by re-naming the field, 'Brett Favre Field,' and unveiling a life-sized statue of the quarterback at the stadium's entrance. The school previously had retired his jersey, Number 10, in 1993. He stayed in the south to go to college where he went to Southern Miss. He became the starter at Southern Miss in his third game of his freshman season. Favre majored in special education. He led his Southern Mississippi team to 29 victories, including two bowl victories, during his four varsity seasons, 1987-90, and climaxed his collegiate career by earning a MVP award in the East-West Shrine game featuring the nation's best seniors. Favre set school records for passing yards (8,193), pass attempts (1,234), completions (656), completion percentage (53.2), touchdowns (55), and with only 35 interceptions. His production included five 300-yard passing games and five 3-TD performances, while his 7,695 regular-season passing yards ranked him among the top 30 of all-time NCAA passers. His 1.57 interception ratio in 1988 was the lowest among the 50 top-ranked passers in the nation, and his 2.9 interception rate for his four-year career also ranks as one of the best in NCAA history. Also he was the MVP of the All-American Bowl at the conclusion of his senior year. All those records and stats and that was only in college!!!

Walter Payton also had a dark side, some journalists were writing that Walter was using drugs, and was one of the causes of his deaths. Payton most of the time was sober, and always passed drug tests (a lot of football players do drug tests, only because of suspicion. Another thing Walter Payton did that a lot of running backs have never done was he never really had any injuries, he participated in 98% of his games in his whole career. And once again in 1985, the Chicago Bears won the Super Bowl. And Walter Payton was awarded the Super Bowl MVP.
