It is human tendency to want to follow the elementary concept of cause and effect. For example: “If I study responsibly for this test, then I will perform positively.” “If I get my degree, then I will have a better chance at finding a well-paying job” and so on. If we are told to do something with no end product or goal in mind, then we act with no purpose. Living with no purpose causes one to aimlessly live their life facing an endless direction. We as humans are constantly questioning “why” and looking for a purpose in life, and while some may disagree, having a belief in a higher power helps guide and encourage individuals to find that purpose and trust in something, or someone, bigger than themselves. According to the 2016 Pew Research Center, a survey was completed from “35,000 Americans from all 50 states about their religious affiliations, beliefs and practices…” which stated 70.6% of the tested American population identified as Christian, 20.8% as Catholic, …show more content…

That we must not suffer from facing towards an endless direction, but instead having the ultimate goal of fulfilling a life full of love and reaching our endless paradise. Many have heard of the phrase, “lead by faith, not by sight” and pondered on how that can make any sense. When in reality, mostly all Christians view it as a guided light, that can lead them down the right path intended by God. The true dictionary meaning of faith is to have “complete trust or confidence in someone or something,” and is an action not only Christians follow, but all walks of religiously affiliated individuals from around the world who believe in a God or several gods. It is okay to not believe in the same god as others, but believing in something is what brings many people sanity knowing that they are not unaccompanied in the world and battling their difficulties one on
