Welding History Blacksmith’s have been around since the middle ages.Throughout the years they have developed different skills and techniques. During the 19th century, gas welding and cutting was developed. World wars have changed the history of welding, and its advancements have changed the world we live in today. Also, during World War l the military demanded armament production, this is where welding took place.The latest advancements are being made today such as the lasers and the types of welding that are being used. Early techniques of blacksmiths Blacksmith is a person who makes and repairs things in iron by hand. According to the website “History of blacksmith” Blacksmiths gained skills during the Iron Age which is the common use of Iron. During this time someone discovered this material and knew that it could be used to make utilities and weapons such as knives and arrowheads. One procedure they had to produce iron was melting it on a container made out of clay called bloomery, it could be made into any shape by hammering it to the wanted figure. In 2013, the progress of Gas Metal Arc Welding-Brazing was being developed in order to weld steel that was being utilized in autos. Finally, this latest technology can help us dream of bigger things and this can lead to inventors to develop better skills and equipment. The cool thing about laser welding is, that metal and nonmetals can be easily and efficiently cut in no time. Advancements in the future of welding will be found all throughout the world. The world needs welding, welding is not just putting two pieces of metal together, it is the key for better buildings, structures, and armament. The world we live in will never be in peace so when another war comes up welders will be ready to build armament with the latest and best technology of welding. This will allow not only the U.S. but the whole world to be powerful and advanced. As a matter of fact, developments for welding will never stop, as a result welding will just become easier and easier. When something is made better it is easier to use and it will always be stronger and will last more than it has in the past. In the future, welding will be used with much more stronger and efficient steel or metals that will be joined together to build anything that is demanded in a short amount of time. This will allow welders to produce and manufacture things that are needed immediately because of the great new technology. Ultimately, Welding has been around for a very long time, and throughout the decades people have developed better equipment and skills.
