Synopsis:Based on Arthur Miller's The Crucible, Abigail Williams (Winona Ryder ) accuses basicly the whole village of dancing with the devil after she realizes the man she loves: John Proctor ( Daniel Day-Lewis) no longer loves her , but is she truly the one guilty. What will her rage and fury lead up to .The mysterious and thrilling movie/ play will leave its audience on the edge of their seats, and astonished.

Review:
Nicholas Hytner brings forth such an amazing story in The Crucible. His selection of actors and actress is amazing,they really brought out the characters but also there are a few flaws in in the movie that took away for the …show more content…

Such as Winona Ryder casting the role As Abigail Williams seemed to be the perfect fit. She brought out all of the emotions that are to be expressed through this character and leaves you in awe. Not only did she do an outstanding job other characters such as Daniel Day-Lewis as John Proctor did a great job as well. He really captured what was supposed to be portrayed through his character. Therefore the cast played an important part in this movie. No one else could have probably captured the importance of the roles quite like them.

On the other hand there were some errors and flaws in comparison to the play and the movie. In the movie they changed a few things with the plot ,some examples were: some of the conversations in the play took place inside but in the movie they were outside, also Giles Corey and Martha Corey weren't hanging out at Proctors home while talking about all of this.
They added things and as well took things away, for example: they added a lot of dialogue between Abigail and John Proctor, and took away scenes with him and his wife Elizabeth. They also added where Paris slaps Abigail when in the play that does not
