Teaching Strengths
In an assessment, I have learned that my strengths are achiever, ideation, communication, empathy, and strategic. These strengths are great deal of stamina. They take immense satisfaction in being productive and busy. An achiever has constant need for attainment. At the end of the day they must accomplish something meaningful to feel about themselves. If the day passes without some form of achievement, no matter how small, Achievers feel dissatisfied. This strength is powerful to make teachers strive toward the next goal on the horizon. Teachers can take advantage of self-motivation by setting challenging goals. That is, they can help their students to finish a project by the target goals they impose. In this regard, this will help students to focus on their talents and strengths as well.
People with dynamic Ideation talents are spontaneously creative and bring new and fresh perspectives. They have a natural senseof innovation that defies conventional thinking. Their innovative approach to problems and projects can be a source of new andvaluable ideas. A teacher h...

The achiever strength describes people who have great stamina and apply themselves to work hard (Gallup StrengthsFinder, 2012). People with the achiever theme are happiest when being productive, busy, and useful (Gallup StrengthsFinder, 2012). Achievers excel in launching projects and assignments and motivating others to begin tasks. (Gallup StrengthsFinder, 2012). They have a take-charge attitude and take the initiative to begin tasks on their own rather than wait idly for permission (Gallup StrengthsFinder, 2012). They have very high expectations for themselves and others and set specific goals to achieve (Gallup StrengthsFinder, 2012). Achievers do not just automatically accept information but examine it for proof and validity. These people are scholarly and can apply themselves for extended periods of time to their academic pursuits (Gallup StrengthsFinder, 2012).
Michael is a happy student who is working to improve his communication skills with his classmates. He is slowly making progress in his educational goals. Although Michael does show some frustration issues, he has shown great improvements and responds very well to praise, one on one attention, and immediate consequences. While Michael does need to be encouraged to participate in activities and independent work he is improving on these skills. However, he just needs an extra boost compared to most students.
Understanding one’s strengths and weaknesses is essential to becoming and being a good leader. “Purposeful leaders understand who they are” (Mayfield, 2013). The author of this paper has had previous opportunities to lead, and will reflect on her experiences using the assigned inventory. She will evaluate her skill set and discuss ways she can be an advocate for change with the hospital and community in which she is employed. Lastly, she will identify one personal goal for her leadership growth and explore different avenues for obtaining that goal.
Positive psychology refers to strengths as positive qualities we each have as individuals. There are a few base principles to remember when working on strengths. It is important to value and develop individual talents, maintain healthy relationships, reflect on successes, practice, and teach others. It is important to focus on strengths and manage weaknesses. Our schools of today need to find ways to promote students into using their individual strengths. In classrooms individual talents should be valued and developed. For instance, one student in a class may be very strategic who is able to see patterns and issues within a project. This same class may also have someone analytical who likes to search for reasons as causes. A teacher who was taught to look for and recognize these strengths could draw on the strategic thinker to share with the class the patterns and issues they see ...

My five strengths according to the strength finder include; balance, this helps me be aware of treating all people equally regardless of the situation. I am neither in anyone 's favor or against anyone as this to me is selfishness and individualism. This would result in a situation where some people scale heights due to connections while others are lagging behind. I believe that a consistent environment where the rules apply to everyone is the best for individuals to function best (Rath, 2007). Flexibility is my next strength. By knowing that things do not always work out as planned has helped me change the tactics of how I perform my tasks. I do not always expect to have a smooth flow of opportunities or accomplish goals, but
In this paper, I am to write about my strengths and weaknesses in writing. This is not an easy task for me because I have never considered myself a writer. Reading other peoples thoughts are activities that are more my speed. I simply have trouble putting my thoughts into writing. Since, I do not feel that I have many strengths, let's move on to my weaknesses.
In high school, writing essays was my weakest link. When I began my first semester of college, I still had that trouble in my first writing composition class. I improved significantly from gaining organization and length. When I started my second writing composition class, my grades for my paper sky rocketed! The essays I have written though out this semester have shown improvements in context and organizations, however, I still have some room for improvement on reasoning’s and thesis statement.

Strengths and Weaknesses Throughout the Mid-SEE I have written reflections on my writing and participated in group activities. I have received comments from my peers and suggestions to help with revising my paper. With the help of my professor, Professor Church and my classmates, I was able to comprehend their suggestions to me to make my essay better and by revising my classmate’s essays, I was able to point out mistakes that I might have made in my essay, which made me go back to my essay and check and see if I had mistakes that just flew by my eyes. I have come to understand what my strengths and weaknesses are in my writings. What I tend to do wrong in my papers is trying to get the topic to stay on the topic throughout the paper.
When it comes to my schoolwork, I tend to be extremely conscientious, diligent, and ambitious. A few of my academic strengths are my organizational skills and ability to think critically. A weakness that I have is test taking; while taking tests I become nervous, and forget the information. I become upset with myself if I earn a C on a test or in a class. Then I consider what I could have done differently to receive a higher grade and apply it to future assignments. I react this way when it comes to my studies, because my dad used to get upset with us if we received anything below a B in specific subjects. For example, if we got a C in math my dad would say, “You don’t know how to count? I guess I will stop giving you money since you cannot count it.” He would also reward us for being able to count and getting good grades. When I was a little girl, he used to put out money and give us 30 seconds to count it, if we counted
Interview development is frequently the difference between success and failure. My personal experience on both being an interviewer and interviewee has helped me gain knowledge. This was an effective way to receive a comeback in an understanding environment. This assignment has helped me build confidence on how to be successful during an interview, how my strengths can recover my weaknesses, and how i can turn my biggest flaws into strengths.
As people like to believe they are different or unique, we all relatively have the same mind-set as far as our weakest or strongest qualities go. While one group’s greatest strength might be forgiveness, it might be another group’s greatest weakness. It is important for people to know what their greatest weaknesses and strengths are because theses qualities help define who people are. Furthermore, it is crucial for people to not only focus on their negative qualities, but to also focus on their positive qualities. Upon taking the “VIA Survey of Character Strengths,” I learned what my top five strengths are, how my weakest strength is also one of my top strengths, and how I already incorporate them into my everyday life.
