They have the power to draw you in or push you away. You can tell a lot about what the store is by what their name is, things in the windows, signs, etc. This is what makes all storefronts unique and different from all other buildings, they tell you exactly what is inside without you having to walk in and discover it for yourself.
The storefront is the most important architectural feature of all commercial buildings. It plays a very large role in the store’s advertising and merchandise that draws customers and increase business. The storefront is the most commonly altered feature of a building for this reason. These changes can completely change the building’s architectural features that make up its historical features.
The history of storefronts go all the way back into the 1700’s. The Wild West days back in the 1800’s when cowboys and outlaws roamed the free new land are we will start. Saloons, general stores, black- smiths, gunsmiths, etc. all had storefronts telling the cowboys and travelers what their store was. Without these storefronts you would wander the streets clueless or would just continue traveling thinking that town had nothing to offer.

Nordstrom retail stores have large hallways, and everything is presented in a very classy manner. The color scheme includes pale yellows, whites, and gold, to provide a more elegant appearance in the store in order to make the shopped feel special. The design is also seen through product organization. Compared to stores like Macy’s, which organize their products based on brand, Nordstrom organizes their products based on lifestyle. Because of this, it is easier for shoppers to find clothes similar to their style as opposed to by brand. In effect, shoppers will purchase more products. This also is a type of experiential retailing, where Nordstrom customers are able to experience the elements of their lifestyle within one section. More so, the product presentation will draw people’s eyes to products, even if they are not looking for it. This gives Nordstrom a competitive advantage in relation to other similar retail stores because it makes their store look more glamorous and high-end. While other stores may focus on value, Nordstrom utilizes the retail positioning strategy to make a customer feel more high-end and

Each floor I stopped at had a variety of stores. From eery-looking stores selling Halloween and magic merchandise to a magazine shop selling vintage Playboys and Time magazines from the 40s, to a saloon that invited customers, every corner filled up with something worth staring at or dropping my jaw on. Tibetan artefacts, leather bags, indie artist studios, thrift shops, liquor stores, stationary, carpentry shops, jewellery stores, clothing like t-shirts, hats, ties, and belts, pet care, human care, hair styles, Seattle mementoes, and thousands of other little and large shops lit up as customers

My ethnographic experience takes place in Assi supermarket, the supermarket that mostly sell Asian foods. I arrived to take my field note on Saturday morning and stayed for several hours. The place has similar size and architecture with Walmart, the outside walls are painted in nude color. There is no window and only one door to get inside. As a Sears sales associate, I spent my last summer working in retail, enduring both tiresome hours and demanding buyers. Through this experience, I learned tricks and skills that are useful to survive a job in retail.
While growing up, I realized the benefits a person has when they personally own their own business. You can make your own schedule, personally control your finances, and essentially have complete control of your business Of course upon this realization; I came to the conclusion that I was going to be my own boss. I have always taken pride in how I present myself including how I dress. The limitless nature of fashion and its versatility has always intrigued me. One empowering aspect of clothing that is so fascinating is how it enables people to express themselves. Because of these interests, I have come to the conclusion that I wish to own a fashion boutique. In order to pursuit the path of becoming a fashion boutique owner, it is essential that I obtain a degree in business management, evaluate my own skills that make me ideal for the job, and

Whether you go to the mall, shopping centers, or your local grocery store, you 'll always encounter many types of shoppers. Shopping isn’t always as fun as it sounds to everyone, but it is something we often do. This is the only way we get products we need, by personally buying them. You have three main shoppers including impulse buyers, list makers, and bargain hunters.
So many things in buildings can make a person act or feel important. An example of this would be someone who is not used to having nice things and when they go out on vacation it’s something as simple as a nice hotel suite to take away the stress that life can sometimes give to a person.
