iPhone 5s v Samsung Galaxy S4
The demand for smartphones is at its highest ever level just now. Seven in ten people in the UK now own a smartphone and 1 in 5 in the world own one. Smartphone sales are dominated by two companies, Apple and Samsung. But which of the latest of the two companies phones, the Apple iPhone 5s and the Samsung Galaxy S4 is better and why.
Each year, both Samsung and apple release a new flagship smartphone into the market. Although they launch their phones at different times, comparisons between the two phones are inevitable. Everyone knows that there is a strong competition between the two technology giants and each of them aim to have the better market share of the other through making innovative products.
The battle just now is between the iPhone 5s and the Galaxy S4 which were both released in 2013. Both phones are very impressive in their own ways which it makes very difficult to pick an overall winner - after all there are plenty of reasons to go with either of them. With that being said no one can really tell the average consumer which is better because most of the time the decision is subjective.
When phone enthusiasts compare two smartphones side by side the first thing that they want to find out is what hardware the phones use and which is better for example they want to know which has the faster processor with more ram so the phone doesn’t lad when playing demanding games. Looking at the specifications the Galaxy S4 is more impressive in terms of numbers. The S4’s screen is a 5-inch Super AMOLED boasting a full 1080 x 1920 resolution with 441ppi, plus the device comes with 2 GB RAM and a quad-core Snapdragon 600 processor running at 1.9Ghz in the UK.
In contrast, the iPhone 5S delivers a sma...

In conclusion, both phones do have their ups and downs, the S4 has better hardware and more features to it but with all the features the screen becomes far too cluttered to look at and for a non-smartphone enthusiast it can be confusing to use. The iPhone on the other hand, yeah it has great hardware specifications causing it not to lag anytime soon, it does not have near as many features as the S4 but with that comes a more sleek and elegant design. Both phones do cost a bucket load of money, roughly about the same around £550 depending where you buy it from and what size of inbuilt memory you want.
Overall if I was to pick one over the other I would definitely go for the iPhone as it has a metal back compared to a plastic S4 back which makes it feel that more classier and I love the operating system IOS7 as it is nice and easy to use.
