Nurse administrator and nurse practitioner have different roles in the health care, but both must have advanced education in different speciality. . The complex health care today needs strong leadership, advanced education, productive, and efficient work force to create a healthy environment to improve the patient outcome. A nurse administrator must have a masters degree in management and administration with certification through the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), the American Organization of Nurse Executives (AONE), or the American College of Healthcare (graduate nursing) . Open and effective communication with all, the department is very important to create a healthy working environment. Establishing a cultural competency in the workforce is important to lead a strong health care team. Trust, honesty and nonjudgmental behaviors are also essential for those who are in the management position (American Organization of Nurse Executives, 2015). In order to provide safe care it is important that the nurse administrator should have extensive knowledge of current nursing practices, and payment issues that can affect an organization’s finances (American Organization of Nurse Executives, 2015). There are many things that are important for nurse administrators such as clinical practice knowledge, health care economics and policy, risk management , and performance improvement (American Organization of Nurse Executives, 2015). Even though nurse administrator provides indirect care, but still make sure all the care provided are evidence based and meet the organizational standard . Having enough knowledge in the business is very important to manage an organization which includes budgeting ,human resources , financial resources, and information technology (American Organization of Nurse Executives, 2015). NP uses advanced skills, education, critical thinking , and assessment skills to diagnose and treat their patients. Ethical competency is an important factor in daily practice, nurse practitioners prove this competency by combining ethical principle and evaluating the consequences of the of the decisions and practicing sound ethical decisions to solve the complex issues(.C.ymcdh).NP use their leadership in many areas for example collaborating , coaching, mentoring, and consulting with other health care team to provide quality care. NP use the knowledge they learned through advanced education to improve patient out come. It is important that Np must have knowledge about the organizational practices and use best evidence base practice to improve health out come.Technology play an important role today for delivering quality care, so it is important that FNP keep uptodate information and teach their patients how to access the health information they needed
When I am older I would love to be a Nurse Practitioner, I enjoy helping people when they are sick and taking care of them. Another reason I want to be a Nurse Practitioner is because my sister is also a Nurse Practitioner.

All four roles act as leaders within the health care organizations depending on their designated areas of duty. Their input is needed to keep the health care institution running. I am highly interested in pursuing the career of a nurse practitioner because the healthcare field is always in need for medical professionals, it pays well, and I am helping people at the same time.
Once upon a time, my best friend, Bryan Martinez, often heard his mother’s medical conversations with friends. One day at school, our teacher confronted Mrs. Martinez and told her that she was able tell that Bryan was a son from a nurse. Apparently there was an incident at school where a little boy was acting out and Bryan told our teacher that the little boy was agitated, and to give him some medication to calm him down. As demonstrated by Bryan, nursing is ongoing profession that promotes the health and well-being of individuals.

Saying that you are a registered nurse is a broad statement. Registered nursing is a job that has many aspects. Registered nurses work in many different settings and they carry out many different routines. As a registered nurse you could be exposed to many different opportunities. My goal is to be a registered nurse but, I need to learn a lot. Becoming a being a registered nurse requires a lot of hard work and effort but, if I focus on my goal I will be able to achieve it.
In today’s society, leadership is a common yet useful trait used in every aspect of life and how we use this trait depends on our role. What defines leadership is when someone has the capability to lead an organization or a group of people. There are many examples that display a great sense of leadership such being an educator in health, a parent to their child, or even a nurse. In the medical field, leadership is highly used among nurses, doctors, nurse managers, director of nursing, and even the vice president of patient care services. Among the many positions in the nursing field, one who is a nurse manager shows great leadership. The reason why nurse manager plays an important role in patient care is because it is known to be the most difficult position. As a nurse manager, one must deal with many patient care issues, relationships with medical staff, staff concerns, supplies, as well as maintaining work-life balance. Also, a nurse manager represents leadership by being accountable for the many responsibilities he or she holds. Furthermore, this position is a collaborative yet vital role because they provide the connection between nursing staff and higher level superiors, as well as giving direction and organization to accomplish tasks and goals. In addition, nurse managers provide nurse-patient ratios and the amount of workload nursing staff has. It is their responsibility to make sure that nursing staff is productive and well balanced between their work and personal lives.
The nursing profession has changed drastically over time. The roles and responsibilities that nurses take on have increased and become far more complicated. Nurses are managers, leaders, supervisors and have become experts in many areas of care. Every day nurses are faced with the task of improving and strengthening professional leadership within their work environment. Managing good quality and eliminating risk is the major challenge in health care. All members of the team must work together to accomplish outstanding patient care. Budget cuts and nursing shortage in all areas of health care leads to less licensed staff, where use of unlicensed personnel have been used widely, where delegation is not an option, but a necessity. Nurses must be aware of delegation guidelines, what tasks to delegate,when to delegate for the safety of patients, liability of nurses and the facility.
The career i chose is a branch of the medical field. I chose a career in nursing, more specifically the career path of a registered nurse. This career consists of providing care for people of all ages and helping them with managing their conditions. I chose this career because my mother is an rn and my family has a strong presence in the medical field. It is important to understand the education or training requirements, skills, or talents needed, salary, benefits offered, and the duties for a particular career when making this decision.
