Nike and Adidas are two of the biggest rivals and also two of the best sports brand companies in the world. Nike found in 1964 is popular in the United States market while Adidas established in 1924 is popular in the European market. As stated in research, Nike is an American multinational corporation that engages in the designing, development and sells of shoes, sports apparel and equipment, as well as a list of other things. Adidas, a German multinational corporation based in Herzogenaurach, Bavaria, Germany, specializes in manufacturing and designing sports clothes and accessories. While both Nike and Adidas manufacturing companies offer a greater variety of sports products, Nike is the better company due to their quality, advertising, and sponsorship.
Nike mission is “To bring inspiration and innovation to every athlete in the world.” Adidas mission is “To strive to be the global leader in the sporting goods industry with brands built on a passion for sports and a sporting lifestyle.” When comparing the two mission statements there are many differences. In Nike mission statement, their main target is focused towards their customers. They want to inspire every athlete in the world, whereas Adidas mission statement explains they want to be a leader. They want to be a global leader in the sporting goods industry as a business; their main focus is their business not the consumers. Putting the customers first is the reason Nike is ahead of Adidas. They are not customer focused they are business focused. If you are not thinking about what best interest the customer, your company will never be the best in the industry.

Television commercials are the best forms of advertisement in today’s society. Nike advertising uses the emotional branding technique because it powerful; so powerful that it inspires customer loyalty from people all over the world. Nike has some of the biggest sponsors for its business. When companies have sponsors who are well known it helps them to sell their business more. With all the research that has been conducted, it would be extremely hard for any sport company to outperform Nike.
