Essay On Naval Service

From an adolescence age, the desire to service my country is that of great immensity within myself. I learned from my Mother’s philosophical mindset that an individual’s country comes first and foremost. Witnessing the ferocity, the terrorism, the ghastly acts committed upon humanity and the United States has only invigorated my unbending aspiration to serve.

This Country was forge by prodigious men/women who sacrificed their lives to fabricate a sanctuary for freedom, a nation where liberty can not only exist, but thrive and persist unscathed by those with malicious intent. I aspire to serve in the United States Navy to defend the grail of liberty that countless men and women have foregone that of the highest extent of physical and mental belongings to create and uphold. For I hold strong regards for the future of America, its people, and their dreams. A career in Naval Service will be a great step for myself and for future generations entrusting that, they will live a life without

menace and capable of defending their liberty, freedom and sovereignties from foreign and domestic hostile. Thomas Jefferson once said “The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.”

Although service is at the vanguard of my concentration, the need of achieving success within other areas of my life is vital.

The United States Naval Academy is an ideal institution in that it provides tools to give those who wish to give service to their country knowledge and a degree. To obtain a degree in Engineering is an unwavering objective, the Naval Academy is the keystone to accomplishing that objective while fulfilling my commitment to serve. An education at the USNA is more than an education, it is an edification that will prepare me to join a leading rank of officers by offering skills that are nonpareil, and it is an education that will cultivate bonds and unity that are indissoluble even from the hands of time. After experiencing Summer Seminar, I first hand saw what hard work and persistence poured into an education at the USNA can do for I and my country, and I would be honored to pour every part of me into the laborious pathway through the United States Naval

Academy.

The first year of college, freshman year, I was stabbed in the arm by a goaded fellow student wielding a fishing knife. Rather than physical retribution, I reported the incident to a school official. The student was immediately detained. I obligated he should be punish by the law. After much thought and discussion with others, I came to the conclusion that vindictiveness and antipathy was not a moral answer. A true moment of what has define my character. The charges were elevated, and with arrangements, he was permitted to return to school. I did not intent for his life to be completely tarnished by a single mistake that I believe he would not recommit. I had learned to "turn the other cheek."
