Recommended: How does media affect opinion

This report will discuss the core beliefs and values in all relationships which are influenced negatively and positively by the media, illustrating the characteristics of relationships and forms media.
The media has many negative and positive effects on teenagers in this generation. Such as cultural and political awareness and communication of information to the public which are seen as positive influences. Deifying negative behaviours and image and beauty standards produced by the media are viewed as negative.
Media
Media is the main means of mass communication (television, radio, phones, newspapers, and the World Wide Web), regarded collectively and reaches or influences people widely.

 Newspapers/Magazines
 Television/Films
 Advertisements
 Music
 Radio
 Blogs
 Pictures

The Positive and Negative Influences by Media on Relationships

Positive influences by Media:
Communication of information
Information may be easily exchanged between us and people over long detachments. Who do not have to be present with us at that time, this makes it convenient to plan events and discuss certain topics when there is no time or it is inconvenient to do it in person. This allows us to have a wider range of friends as we do not have to spend an excess amount of time on a single person.
Making new friends
Using social networks through the World Wide Web makes it extremely simple to make new friends and build new relationships, even over long distances.

Cultural and Political awareness
The media allows us to understand and appreciate different ethnic groups, cultures and religions. Allowing us not to offend certain people and removes our stereotypical views towards them, thus we are more ...
