What is the meaning of a healthy lifestyle? I’ve been seeking the answer to this question since I was a freshman in high school. My attitude towards life then was the stereotypical attitude of a teenager: rude, wild, and irresponsible. However, now, as an adult, I think there is much more to a healthy life style, and which I 'm very passionate about. For example, relationships are one of the fundamentals of life. Whether it 's with partners, friends, or community it is a deeply nurturing necessity of a healthy life style. Another major part of a healthy life style is mental health and well-being. Healthy living is all about taking responsibility for my decisions and making smarter choices for today and for the future. In fact, I think positive relationships are one of the key fundamentals of living a healthy life style. I’ve learned over the years that happiness and success are largely influenced by the relationships I 've built with others. Having trusted people I can turn to for encouragement and support has boosted my courage in tough times. For example, the day my seventeen year old brother past away was the day my whole life shatter in front of me. I 've realized that the tragic filling of losing a brother will always stay with me forever. However, I 'm so thankful for my extraordinary family and friends. When I 'm talking of a health life style, it 's not just about having positive relationships, but also about me having positive mental health. Honestly, Becoming mentally and emotionally strong isn 't something that happens overnight. But the days when I 'm free of depression, anxiety, stress, and worry, I 'm more able to live my life to the fullest. “Scientists have shown that mental states such as stress and depression have a clear influence on the immune system, while certain diseases produce predictable changes in mood and behavior, hinting that psychological and social approaches may have an important role to play in preventing disease or shortening its course (Weiss, 1994).” My mental health is very important to me. I will not have a healthy body if I don 't also take care of my mind. My friends and family depend on me. It 's important for me to take care of myself, so that I can handle the curve balls that life throughs my way. Whether it 's work, death of a family member, or money good mental health helps me enjoy life and cope with problems. Just as I take care of my body by eating right and exercising, I can do things to protect my mental health. In fact, one of my favorite things to protect my mental health is to challenge myself every once in a while. I like taking courses at Michelle Community College that have helped me gain new insights which I had not considered
Being healthy is one of the most important Be Your Best Self aspects because it encompasses so much of our day-to-day lives. To be described as healthy, I not only have to be physically fit, but also mentally, socially, and financially fit. Being healthy has many benefits. Exercise allows a person to be a happier, calm, energized, and confident individual. The same can be said for exercising the brain, socializing, and keeping finances in order. By being healthy I will feel better every day and find fierce determination and discipline in the process.
Health shapes our life, if you practice bad health practices, chances are you’re often sick, overweight, disease, or other medical issue. There are three main points of a person’s health, not just their physical health. The three parts are; social, mental/emotional, and of course physical. Setting health goals depends on age, body, and health of a person. I am 14 years old, and I am 5 feet tall, around 100 pounds. I’m generally the correct size for someone of my age. Though, it’s hard to achieve perfect health.
When talking about health, if people is able to visualize what is good (healthy) and what is bad for health, they will choose the option that does not harm them.
With some degree of differences, every individual has their own capacity to form and maintain relationships. Some people naturally form and maintain close and caring relationships, but unfortunately, some others are not.
When thinking of my overall health, a few aspects stand out that I think I could definitely improve on. When I think my current personal wellness I think it is fairly decent. There are definitely people out there far worse than myself. It could be better because there is always room for improvement. I’m a big fan of personal growth. To me if a person decides to stop growing or wanting to better themselves either mentally, physically or emotiontally. Then whats the real purpose for living? I am a fairly active person. I love to hike, stay fit and eat healthy. Living a healthy lifestyle isn’t hard for me which I think definitely contributes to a wellness.
What makes a person healthy? Surely, it is more than exercising and a proper diet. As a ten year-old girl, being healthy had one meaning to me; to eat all my vegetables and to be physically fit. I have chosen healthcare as a career because health does not only focus on the physical aspects of wellness, but it applies to all areas of wellness, such as, intellectual, social, spiritual, financial, occupational, environmental and emotional wellness.

Building and sustaining positive relationships means to have the ability to mentally, physically and emotionally maintain a connection with another human. Having these positive relationships with others helps us to feel healthier, happier and more calm. Sustaining a positive relationship also helps us to feel more connected, stay supported, and helps us to give support to others. Positive relationships need specific criteria in order to be successful, some include constructive conflict resolution, opinions of the people in the relationship and effective communication which will help us with the transitions in life.
A happy relationship is based on realistic expectations? Real relationships take effort, time and commitment. A happy relationships doesn’t just happen because two people love each very much, but because they also value one another and are willing to make an investment of time and energy into building a happy relationship day after day. Throughout time, people have constantly attempted to seek happiness through relationships. In “The Diamond as Big as the Ritz” by F. Scott Fitzgerald and “The Story of an Hour” by Kate Chopin shows how happiness in relationship can be found in different ways. I think you can find happiness in freedom. Happiness is being free to do the things you want to do and to let go of fears and the judgments that other people might have and that’s how some people can find happiness in relationships.
I feel it is very important to take care of yourself and a true responsibility to strive to be healthy. It is certainly something very personal, and that is what I really like about working towards this goal. There are not many short cuts and what you accomplish is usually measured in nothing more than hard work and proper habits. These habits are either natural to you or often times they are things that you have to acquire along the way. This is what this class did for me in many ways, it focused on important lifestyle techniques that I either already have or ones that I need to work on and try to incorporate into my everyday life.
All of the above points apply to all relationships be it social, romantic or even family relationships.

Despite the overly expensive food or the pricey monthly bills from the gym you hardly go too, simple steps can assist you in living a long healthy life without the extra effort.
