Many people think of the Dallas cowboys as a team that haven’t played in the Super Bowl for twenty years. They think this team is a team of losers and big mistakes through their coaches and trading of key players. But what they don't know is that in their prime years, they attended the Super Bowl eight times, besides winning five of those Super Bowl trips.
The Dallas Cowboys first Super Bowl victory in came in 1972. The Cowboys started the game recovering a fumble and ending up getting a field goal. Later in the half the Cowboys scored a touchdown, but also allowed the dolphins a field goal. The cowboys then scored two more times and held the Dolphins scoreless.

They stated the game out hot with two interceptions leading to ten points. they then got a field goal lat in the second to push the lead to thirteen at the half. At the start of the second half the Cowboys ran the ball all the way back on the opening drive to make it a twenty to zero game. The Broncos then came back with a touchdown, and a field goal. But they fell just short losing twenty to ten, making the Dallas Cowboys the Super Bowl twelve champions. Harvey Martin and Randy white where named Super Bowl number XXII(12) Co-MVPS. The first ever co-MVPs With White at D-Tackle, and Martin At D-End. Martin and white where the leaders of the Defense that forced eight turnovers. Staubach completed on seventeen of his twenty five attempts for 183 yards and one interception. Because of his Great arm and outstanding leadership the Dallas cowboys went on to win Super Bowl number twelve.
Dorsett lead the rushing side of the game with sixty six yards. Dorsett had sixty six Yards on fifteen carries and on Touchdown. Dorsett had a large impact on the out come of the game with not just sixty six yards rushing but also with eleven yards receiving.
The Dallas Cowboys come back firing after a long drought defeating the Bills seventeen to fifty two in Super Bowl 27. the game started out in favor of Buffalo as they took a seven point lead early in the first half. Two positions later the Bills had the ball back, but fumbled it giving it back to the Cowboys deep in Bills territory. The cowboys later scored twice in a row to take the lead, which they would then hold onto until the end. With Smiths contribution of over one hundred yards the Dallas cowboys rolled over Buffalo in dramatic fashion. Michael Irvin lead the team in receiving with over 100 yards. Irvin Had 6 receptions for 114 Yards and two Touchdowns. Thanks to Irvin’s two touchdowns, one from Novacek, and another from Harper the Cowboys won there 3rd Super Bowl. After winning the Super Bowl the previous year the Dallas Cowboys Go for back to back National championships. The Cowboys had to fight back after a thirteen to six first half deficit. The cowboys then went on to hold the Bills scores in the second half. fifty-five seconds in to the second half the cowboys defense stripped the ball and returned it forty-six yards for a touch down, to tie the game at thirteen a piece. Dallas then went on to get two more touchdowns, with extra points, and one field goal to top the Bills for a second straight championship thirty to thirteen. Irvin along with Troy seat up both of Emmitt’s scores. After a year out of the sport light the Dallas Cowboys return for there most recent supper bowl appearance, Superbowl XXX (30). the cowboys had to face there biggest Super Bowl rivals, the Pittsburgh Steelers. These two teams have met in the Super Bowl twice before with Pittsburgh emerging victorious on both occasions, but this time was going to be different. Dallas took to an early lead of thirteen points, after scoring on their first three possessions. but then it was the steelers turn with a six yard touchdown pass to pull them within six points of Dallas at half. midway through the third quarter Pittsburgh’s O’Donnell's pass was picked off and returned to there own eighteen yard line. the cowboys later scored a touchdown on forth and on to put them up twenty to seven. They they scored on more time late in the game, and gave up ten more points. For the first time ever though the Cowboys had defeated the Steelers in the Super Bowl by a score of twenty seven to thirteen. Larry Brown was named the Super Bowl thirty MVP after Two interceptions lat in the half to secure the victory.

Troy Aikman was again the yet again the leader in passing with over 200 yards and one Touchdown. Troy completed fifteen of twenty three pass attempts for 209 yards and one touchdown. Thanks to troy passing for over 200 yards the Dallas Cowboys where able to barely sneak by Pittsburgh.
Emmitt Smith was again the leading rusher with not even fifty yards. Smith rushed for forty nine yards on eighteen carries and two touchdowns. Thanks to his two scores and the others to get him down field the Dallas cowboys went on to win there 5th Super
Bowl. It is safe to say that the cowboys at on point in time were virtually unstoppable. They have had a lot of rough seasons lately, ending there most recent season 4-12. He caught 11 passes in the game and was named Super Bowl MVP. Jerry also played with other teams such as the Oakland Raiders and the Seattle Seahawks. In 2010 Jerry Rice was inducted in the Pro Hall of Fame.

The Cowboys own five super bowl titles, which were won in ’71, ’77, ’92, ’93 and ’95.
