College Tuition: Trust or Bust?
As Bernie Sanders had once said, “We need to make certain…that every American gets all the education needed regardless of family income.” What Bernie is trying to provide is that although some families can’t afford tuition they should not be disregarded from the opportunity. And that if costs were affordable the U.S could possibly be the best educated work force in the entire world. The main issue with the cost of tuition is that not everyone can afford it. If not everyone can afford it our society could possibly lose an individual that may know something our society doesn’t. Thus, making it hard for someone to get an education solely based on their social status in society, the amount of yearly income they make, and because they can’t receive the degree they need to get a job. Governments should implement price control on the price of college which would result in more people getting the option to go to college.
In our society High School is just another level of schooling. But what is crazy is that it is much less of a dividend to pay for than if someone were to go to college. Many people could agree that college should not be more to pay just because it can help someone achieve a living in the near future.
