Cake decorating is a famous work of art today. I chose this because my aunt is a cake decorator and I have seen the work she has done, and I am very impressed. The well-known cake decorator today is Buddy Valastro, from Cake Boss. It is art because it’s a way people can express themselves. The purpose is to make cakes for people upon their request. It gives you a sense of satisfaction when you look at it. There are lots of different tools needed depending on the type of cake you’re doing. For a basic cake, you need an offset spatula for smoothing frosting, rubber spatula for stirring frosting, bench scraper for smooth, clean lines, rolling pin for smoothing fondant, piping bags to hold your frosting, and piping tips to get designs for your …show more content…
The most common form, and basic, of latte art is a heart. The next two popular ones are a fern and a tulip. Latte art gets the baristas excited to make coffee and the customers excited to buy coffee and realize the person making their coffee cares. First, you need a shot of espresso and the milk needs to be steamed properly. You must keep in mind how fast you pour and where the milk is going. It takes a lot of practice to get it just right. This type of latte art is called a free pour, which means you have no tools except the consistency with your hand, and it takes no extra time. The other type of latte art is called etching. This takes more time and you can get more creative with it. The tools needed for etching is syrup if needed, and anything that has a pointed end or is stick shaped to pull things around. I don’t think latte art should cost extra if you get the most common designs they do. I really like this art, but I have never seen it in person. The public likes this work of art and it gives a sense of satisfaction when looking at it. If I had practice and someone willing to teach me I would try to do this. The six things artists do is create extraordinary versions out of ordinary
The fundamental patterns of knowledge were first identified by Barbara Carper (1978), and included empirical, personal, ethical, and aesthetic knowing. According to Zander (2007), Carper sought to develop a holistic, individualistic, therapeutic model of practice which could be utilized to structure nursing education, and evaluate nursing practice. The addition of emancipatory knowing by Chinn and Kramer followed in 2008. These patterns of knowledge have shown to be very beneficial, if not crucial to the nursing profession. The purpose of this paper is to provide an in depth explanation of aesthetics, and its importance in nursing. A detailed scenario of esthetic nursing will be included. This
In the era we are in today society is consumed with the want of new technology not the need. “The study into quilt history is a rapidly growing area of research in American history: domestic life in the 18th-20th centuries; development of the textile industry in Asia, India, Europe and America; the purpose for making quilts; their patterns and style development over time.” Quilting is an art form as seen through history, the perfecting of practical skills and the evolution of the sewing machine which gives us the beautiful quilting art of today.
A simple cup of drip coffee can be mastered by any novice. It's to coffee making what coloring in the lines is to art, a small challenge. It take a true coffee connoisseur to master the espresso or latte. I am proud to be such a connoisseur. Learning to make a proper cup of coffee is akin to an art apprentice learning under a great painter. You slowly work your way up. I learned from my mother. I started making coffee with "Taster's Choice" coffee crystals. I moved on to drip coffee, until graduating to the espresso machine. While it takes training and practice to make a latte, I think it also requires a certain talent. I don't mean to toot my own horn, but most people who've had one of my lattes agree that mine are the best.

The use of costuming and character placement help to encourage the view to think of the wider effects of rioting and funding cuts to many of the working and un-employed areas of England. The effect produced by the use of costuming and production design is to elude to the ideas of dreams and ‘hero’s’ in such a violent town. For example, Costuming and the use of traditional navy and red colours are similar to the superhero’s superman, Spiderman and captain America, reflecting both the internal and external conflictions and choices that the youth of that day are caught up in. They themselves are not sure where they fit in. (plan B claims is because of the large closures to council centres and cuts for funding to housing). The use of costuming

Candles have been used all the way back to 3000 B.C., when Egyptians used torches to see in the dark. The Romans would cover papyrus in beeswax or tallow to see in the church, when traveling and at their residence. In the Colonial times, women found out that they could make candles from bayberry bushes that produced wax. “In 1834, inventor Joseph Morgan helped further the modern day candle industry by developing a machine that allowed for continuous production of molded candles by using a cylinder with a movable piston to eject candles as they solidified” (National Candle Association). In the mid 1850’s, Paraffin wax, which is the main ingredient in most candles today, was invented. It was made with petroleum or oil. It was popular because

In the art community there is a lot of controversy in distinguishing what the difference between an artist and a designer. Designers are told they are not artist and they need to stop thinking they are artist. When dealing with art and design specific demographics and viewers interpret the messages of each subject in different ways. Art is said to be elucidated and design is said to be understood. Artists usually develop a work of art with the intention of bringing an emotion viewpoint, instinctive feeling, and or state of mind. When you look at an artist work it cannot be limited to just exhibiting one individual thought or just one individual meaning. That is a big difference when it comes to graphic design. Graphic design usually has a very specific goal and point to make. When dealing with graphic design there should not be any room or space for any mixed messages or multiple meanings. The audience of the design should immediately understand the design that the designer created. Art connects to people differently in so many ways. The only reason it connects to people in different ways is only because it is interpreted differently.
Afterwards, I measured the amount I needed for each ingredient then put into separate containers. Then I had to combine all the ingredients together. For all dry powder ingredients, remember to sift them into the mixing bowl or else it will have lumps while mixing it. I first combined all the wet ingredients like butter, oil and eggs together, whisked them into one egg mixture. Then I sift in the dry ingredients, slowly folding them together. Be very careful on this step, mixing it normally will knock all the air bubbles out of the batter and will affect the fluffiness of the cake. Spray or lightly brush the sides of the cake mold with butter preventing the cake to stick after taking out of the oven. I poured the cake batter into the cake mold and put into the preheated oven. Baking time will differ between recipes, make sure to have the correct time or else the cake will burn. After the cake is done, I took it out and left in on a cooling rack to let it cool down before combining the layers
Interior design is a complicated profession. It is sometimes referred to as interior architecture and often confused with interior decorating. It involves the design, organization and planning of an interior structure rather than just refinishing and furnishing existing interior spaces. It involves managing a business, hopefully meeting the desires of the client and delivering to them an interior environment that is both functional and aesthetically pleasing. There is a lot more to interior design than first meets the eye.
