A Sports Medicine Physicians is someone who may be osteopathic or allopathic physicians, their purpose is to provide health care for athletes and physically active people. They treat anyone who is physically active, to improve their performance, prevent injury, enhance overall health, and maintain their physical activity throughout their lives.(Primary Care Sports Medicine Physician) I want to be a sports physician because I want to be able to provide for my family and help athletes help themselves.

I have had to give up two things I loved dearly because I am not physically able to do it anymore. So, I know what it’s like, I know what an athlete is going thru when they have to give themselves a break or just completely quit. I’m not going to lie it sucks, it sucks bad, it honestly hurts to just sit and watch everyone else do something that you used to could do but can’t anymore. It would give me such a satisfaction to know that if I became a Sports Medicine Physician that I would be able to help or even heal patients that are in the same situation as me. I think I would love my job just because I would be able to keep a fellow athlete in their game. That’s the real reason I have been looking into this occupation. The field also pays very well also which means good money and I like money. If I make good money then I’ll also be able to have my dream house with a lot of land for my kids to be able to play on just like I did when I was growing up. This job also has flexible hours, with flexible hours I will be able to attend more of my kids events and activities without missing to much work.
