Someone has rightly said that learning is a perpetual process. It begins right from opening the eyes, breathing your first breath till the heart beats come to rest. This process of learning happens both at conscious and sub-conscious level. There are few things we learn on our own, which is sleeping, crying etc., few things are taught to us by our near ones in homes, teachers in schools, friends and peers in groups etc., and there are a lot many things that we learn by observing the whole world out there, in form of observations, experiences etc. And as with everyone else, I can attribute my knowledge to the same learning processes.
I have had my fair share of exposure to the world away from home and my loved ones when it was decided that

This term is used in negative connotation in general, which is highly inappropriate usage. Right from our learning to our behavior, everything is shaped by our attitude towards it. Having positive attitude can work wonders in difficult situations, while with negative attitude one can lose all hopes, and controls of tough situations. A learning attitude helps in grasping huge amount of information from everyone and everything around us while a lazy attitude can make you ignore what learning is being offered and readily available for us. Coming to Great Lakes has been a great learning experience so far. I realized that all the hard work and energy one can get and maximize his/her learning is by having right kind of attitude. Although, we all had access to huge amount of information available with us, even before coming here, but there was an attitude to ignore most of it. But our learning and knowledge has significantly increased when we started pushing ourselves towards grasping and processing the information available. Our attitude inflicts in our personal and job behavior. The degree of satisfaction about the environment we live in, the work we do affects our attitudes in positive or negative manner which gets leads to certain behavioral characteristics as well. Certain factors like autonomy I got in my work and in my personal life, the kind of people I was working with, the learning curve at workplace, led to strengthening of positive attitude in me. This kind of attitude has helped me in tougher and professionally and emotionally trying situations in my
Each and every one of us learns throughout our daily lives. We learn from others and through our experiences. As we grow older and become more mature, we develop a deeper understanding of ourselves as we slowly move away from following others to constructing our own perspectives on the world around us. Self-discovery is what gives us a self-realization of what we value, care and love, and thus allowing us to affirm our values in society.
We use the term ‘learning' all the time in everyday life, but what does it mean? Different people will have alternative views on the definition. Commonly its described as the "step-by-step process in which an individual experiences permanent, lasting changes in knowledge, behaviour, or ways of processing the world" (study.com. Wind Goodfriend). Kolb defines individual learning as "the process whereby knowledge is created through the transformation of experience" (Kolb. Experiential Learning: Experience as the Source of Learning and Development. Page 2). This skill is something most people acquire at birth and carry with them throughout their life. Acquiring chunks of information at a time: knowledge, through tasks they've been assigned or,
thinking comes from that and then in the long run more knowledge comes. It is a continuous cycle that never stops.
When we are born does our mind already contain knowledge or is knowledge something that we have to be taught throughout out life? This question is one that the studies of epistemology and innateness have questioned throughout time. While clarity can be gained on the subject, like all of philosophy, there are differing opinions on the matter.

Reflecting back on how every human has the capacity to learn once born caused my understanding of the meaning of learning to
There are many types of diverse people classified under various categories. Some people have different types of personalities. They could be classified as extremely manipulative, others as impulsive, and some may not show anything on the outside and have wonderful social skills. These categories help in the understanding of humans. This study is called Psychology and there are many different subfields in this diverse study of the people around us. One subfield that is particularly interesting is personality psychology. Personality psychology is a branch of psychology that studies personality and its variation between individuals.
I think that beliefs and behavior are connected. What we believe can and does determine how we behave. Beliefs are thoughts and concepts that we hold to be true and behavior is the action taken. I do not feel that children should be taught to be ashamed of their beliefs or behavior unless it is harmful to others or against the law. But, who determines what responsible beliefs and behaviors are? Let’s examine this further by looking at a few arguments involving Pascal’s wager, leap of faith and existentialism. I would like to explain my point of view by using religion and faith to answer this question.
After a person is aware of their ignorance, they can seek knowledge by learning from others and discovering for themselves. Living a life where someone is constantly examining themselves is important because if they do not examine themselves, then they will not have knowledge about the things they do not know about themselves. Learning from others is a passive way of getting to know something because you are not trying to go out and experience it yourself and learn through experiences. Learning from others is crucial early on in a humans’ life. As humans grow up, they should start seeking more knowledge for themselves as opposed to learning from others because seeking knowledge for ourselves can help to get to the deeper truth about themselves or something else. In school, students often are learning from others instead of gaining knowledge themselves. When students start to discover knowledge themselves, they are trying to get to the truth and are interested in gaining knowledge about the

Personality takes many shapes and forms and is affected by many factors. My understanding of personality is simply a genetic and environmentally determined set of psychological traits that influence our reactions in the world around us. Genetic because our parents possess a certain set of psychological personality traits that we tend to have in common with them so therefore in my opinion there are heritable personality traits. Personality is environmental because we each have our own separate experiences in the world and these experiences help form our unique personality. Neo-Freudians such as Jung have given us a wide array of ideas of how they believe personality is developed and formatted. Jung in particular has a very interesting
Learning is a person acquiring new knowledge or skills through studying or being taught. How does this happen? Where does this learning take place? Most people assume all learning takes place in the brain, those people aren’t wrong, but they are not entirely right either. Learning is a complicated topic that requires the entire body to be looked at in order to get the slightest understanding of how it works.
Everyone learns either by observing, memorizing, listening, interacting, ect.. I believe that everyone falls into all of these learning styles. Though some people fit better with one type of learning style than the other. Throughout my whole life the best way that I have been able to learn is by being a visual learner. This means that I learn better by observing and memorizing things. For me, repetition is the key to my success, much like how Temple Grandin in My Mind is a Web Browser: How People with Autism Think, would think and come up with ideas. She would picture anything and it would appear in her " Internet Web Browser" (Grandin 403). Where the "web browser" would searched for the keyword that she was thinking for. I may not have this advance type of memory system in my brain, but if I think of something it
When you step back and look at the big picture of life, you will notice that the concept of learning plays an essential role in it. What you learn and how you learn is your key to life success and it can open a multitude of doors for you along the way. Learning, however, is routine and much like other activities that are routine such as brushing your teeth or eating meals, you begin to think less and less about what you are doing or how you have been doing it. I never actually put too much thought into how I learned or the origins of my learning experience, but after reflecting on the ideas I have been able to clearly identify the manners in which I have learned and how I can transform my learning experience
Emotions and feelings are some of the driving forces in our lives and essentially control our reactions, ideas, and choices. Emotions allow us to form connections with others, make decisions about the world around us, and provide us with the motivation to accomplish various tasks. However, emotions generally come with a lot of confusion and variability due to how differently people utilize and deal with them. One common emotion I feel that all people deal with, and handle differently is anxiety. Anxiety can be an extreme motivator, or the complete opposite, depending on how a person reacts to the feeling. Overall, anxiety is a complex emotion that, in extremes, can disrupt a person’s daily life, or more commonly, make a person feel upset
