Jesse Owens once stated, “We all have dreams. But in order to make dreams come into reality, it takes an awful lot of determination, dedication, self-discipline, and effort.” Athletic Directors run the business, it is their duty to keep everything running correctly and maintaining upkeep throughout their work environment. Athletic Directors can make or break a facility, many skills are needed to be successful in this job area. Being able to be organized, work under pressure, and communicate with others are big keys to success. When attending college to become an athletic director two certifications are required, The Certified Facility Manager Certification and The Facilities Management Professional Certification(“Administrative Services Manager”). All of the best positions for an athletic director require a graduate degree in order to even apply the position and typically will not except those without a graduate degree(“Athletic Directors” 310). Athletic Directors work usually inside in an office or throughout the building, but on some occasions work needs to be taken care of outdoors(“Sports Marketer”). Athletic Directors do not just work on the duties that need to be completed when they at their job, some work may need to be completed outside of the job. Athletic Directors work mostly full hours and work extra hours on the job, which will make it stressful(“Administrative Services Manager”).   
    The job of an athletic director is very important do to the extra curricular events that occur in schools in the future.
