Have you ever wondered who invented math, ancient Egyptian language, or even built the pyramids? Ancient Egyptians have always been successful at what they do, and society there is still progressing. Egyptians are some of the smartest people in the world, and their inventions and resources are some of the things we still end up using today all around the world. Egypt has been around for a long time, and is even mentioned in the Bible. Egypt was the first world power of Bible history. Ancient Egypt definitely shifted from what it was before to what people call now, God’s blessing. While Ancient Egypt was very important before, modern day Egypt is very important to society now.

Ancient Egypt was very diverse with their religions. They all worshipped many Gods and believed the world revolved around them. They had a god for everything: the god of the sun, moon, earth, life, magic, the underworld, and many more. Egypt now a day is more conforming to just one god. However, there is a huge split between the Gods that they believe. The two main religions there are Christianity and Muslims. They each believe in just one god, but not in the same God. One of the biggest religions there now is Muslims, and Egyptian civilization and rules are based on the rules they have in their Quran. According to Lucy Mercer, “The long repression in Modern Egypt had also caused them to become full of cowardice, and they never would fight back to the government, which is now full of corruption and they were already too busy making a living” (Mercer). Also, Ancient Egyptians did not limit women’s rights as much as they do now. Women in ancient Egypt could wear whatever they wanted and were respected for that. Now a day, the women have a limit on what they wear because it could be a distraction for men. Women are expected to always be modest and to just abide by whatever the men want. Egypt has now turned into a male ruling and dominating state. Women cannot become president in now’s society, but back then women could rule without a problem.
