Admire Pedasi’s neat veneer with a preserved quiet demeanor (1)
Tourism may have been deemed as the city’s development, but the impressive aspect of this inviting city is the fact that it maintained the timid and somewhat unassuming atmosphere that is only found in unspoiled locations hiding in a few remote places around the world. The place is beautiful and the progress of tourism with the increase of its visitors didn’t overshadow the natural exterior that remained as it is from the very start.
Location (2)
Originally known as a fishing village, this quiet little city is found on the southeastern tip of the Azuero Peninsula on the Pacific coast of Panama. Due to its location, many fishing enthusiasts consider it a haven due

This can be considered as a beautiful paradox, especially for beach bums because the hassle of rain isn’t as constant as other beach destinations.

Except using the analogy method to analyze the two cities in Caribbean, Mintz also include people’s real living story to enhance his research. For example, Worker in the Cane, a story of a Puerto Rican sugar can worker, Don Taso, his family and the village he lived. “Don Taso portrays his harsh childhood, his courtship and early marriage, his grim struggle to provide for his family” (Mintz 1974: 1). Although Worker in the Cane is not Mintz’s most famous book, it provided people a direct impression of ethnographic contact, and the detailed description and vivid storytelling of a human’s life explain the reason this book continuing appeal young anthologists.

As early as eight in the morning, beaches are packed with people sun bathing in their new swim suits. Coming from the depressing artic winter in Minnesota, the hot sand on my back and gold sun on my face is what I had been missing for months. While gazing out into the sapphire ocean it is not uncommon to spot the black and white fins of killer whales. It is truly a sight to see, although the beach is not the only admirable scenery in Puerto Vallarta. Looking inland, steep and narrow cobblestone roads lead up to mountains that fill the sky. There is a mile-long promenade along the ocean that extends from one side of town to the other called the Malecón. Along the Malecón are palm trees, rock statues and sand sculptures. It is considered a main attraction for everyone. Most of the popular restaurants, nightclubs and stores are located
Akzia: After the Germans invaded Lvov and made several changes, rumors spread throughout the town of an akzia, which is Polish for the deportation and killing of a group of people. The first akzia in Lvov was for children, which made Aurelia too upset and anxious to do anything. Her dad had already started to build a hiding place for her in a wardrobe. One morning, she woke up to outside shrieks signaling the akzia; Aurelia’s first reaction was to hide. When the Nazis came to search the house, Aurelia’s dad, Isaac, told them that she was already taken, but that did not stop them from searching. They were very close to finding her, but lucky did not. Later on, there were a couple more akzia; there was one for the elderly, and two akzia for all Jews, which the Gamzer’s luckily escaped.
These beaches provide a place of rest and relaxation from the minute person steps on to one. One in particular that is the most famous of all of Puerto Rico would the Flamenco beach. This is the most attractive. The sand is warm as the summer sun and so soft your feet just sink. The water is crystal blue and shimmers as the sun sets on it. Even as the sun sets you can still see the coral reef with a spectrum of colors throughout these reefs house exotic fish and birds.
There he stands atop the stairs of the Lincoln Memorial, in the nations’ capital, at a podium, speaking to the world. The crowds faces full of hope. Ears opened wide and clear, for the Dr. is speaking today. He is speaking from the heart and telling the nation that he has a “DREAM.” Dr. King had a dream and as most people think that it is geared towards blacks and whites, it’s not. Dr. King wanted equality between everybody. He wanted freedom from racism and prejudice throughout the nation. He was very good in getting the emotional perspective of persuasion across to his audience. King was a very inspirational man; his words were so true and full of meaning. He spoke to everyone and got everybody involved. This is why people followed him and why I think this is the most persuasive piece we have read. He not only implies his wants but he carries along with him the wants and needs of every man or woman ever treated poorly because of the color of their skin or their beliefs. There is a certain unexplainable meaning and feeling when a man like King steps up in front of the world and says, “I have a Dream.”
Using both imagery and diction, the two authors have built two neighbourhoods full of life. In “Summer Rituals”, the reader encounters a neighbourhood with friendships so closely intertwined, with phonographs playing in the background, with “chairs scraping from tables”, and with “dishes bubbling in the suds” (Summer Rituals). One does not lose any exuberance when switching over to “The Barrio”. Here the neighbourhood has many components that add to its liveliness. “The tortilleria fires up its machinery three times a day,” “The panaderia sends its sweet messenger aroma,” “The color-splashed homes arrest you eyes,”and “The gardens mutely echo the expressive verses of the colorful houses.” Nevertheless, the neighbourhoods also differ in their own ways. As one reads “The Barrio”, one can feel the preservation of history behind its fences. The communities are “isolated from the rest of the town by concrete columned monuments of progress, and yet stranded in the past.”(The Barrio) The barrio is Spanish speaking and historic. These elements are presented through the author’s diction. Ramirez uses multiple Spanish words to define certain shops or places. However, one does not encounter these differences of the neighbourhood from its surrounding when reading “Summer Rituals.” The neighbourhood, with its people and the activities going on inside it, does not stand out to be any different from other
Hinduism, also known by the name Sanatana-Dharma, is often referred to as the “oldest religion” in the world, is generally considered to be an ethnic religion and is fundamentally based on the religion of the original Aryan settlers. “Hinduism, from the Persian Hindi (Sanskrit sindhu), literally "river." Means "of the Indus Valley" or simply "Indian." Hindus call their religion sanatama dharma,"eternal religion" or "eternal truth” (“Facts on Hinduism”). It was founded around 3000 BCE, and is now considered to be the third largest religion in the world. Followers of Hinduism, which is estimated to be anywhere around 900 million, are especially concentrated in India, Nepal, and other countries throughout Asia. The broader world contact that has occurred since World War II allowed various forms of Hinduism to become more widely known and accepted. The multiple Hindu sects, including the Krishna Consciousness, have been particularly successful among young American and Europeans and claims to be adherent around the world. Hinduism is dissimilar compared to other religions, in the fact that it has no founders. This religion is considered to be permissive in creed or code as it is not necessarily coordinated in any way, even though various sects and cults are formulated. This religion is especially known for its tolerance because it is willing to accommodate those who are exceptionally religious; whether it be a Jew, Christian, or Muslim as a part of their religion. Hinduism is very transformable and accepts elements of different religion. Overtime it has even developed different aspects of both Christianity and Buddhism and incorporated them into the religion of Hinduism. Hinduism worships a multiplicity of gods; the most important in...

It is a religion that doesn't involve in having a belief in a God or Gods. many people believe Buddhism is a way of life or a philosophy. Joseph Mileck asserts in Hermann Hesse: Life and Art that Siddhartha is a perfect exemplification of what he calls, "conscious craftsmanship". For Mileck, Hesse consciously synchronized form and substance in Siddhartha to best illustrate a feeling of unity and the journey through the mind, body, and soul. In Siddhartha, Hesse consciously crafted a piece that is unified in form, style, and content, and created an atmosphere in which each one of these elements is perfectly complementary with the others.
The Dhammapada is a unique book that addresses about Buddha speaking upon how to free one’s self from suffering based on the eight fold paths. The book talks about how we live life and how to learn from our suffering to prosper without any suffering in the afterlife. There are many proverbs of wisdom, similes, metaphors, and analogies where one can learn from Buddha’s teachings to live a better life without enduring any more pain. What I have learned the most coming from the eight fold paths are the following; right speech and right concentration.
Buddhism is the philosophy of being awake and conscious in life. Siddhartha Gautama, or Buddha, shared his wisdom with the world and believed that the path to enlightenment was a process of elimination. These eliminations can be conquered through a process called Zen. He believe it was the only way to get rid of the burdens human’s carry of, ignorance, desire and suffering. Buddhism is almost the complete opposite of our western world because our society requires us to act a certain way in order to thrive or even survive.
