Gambling in this society is an addictive thing. Gambling can be a fun thing but most people who gamble become very addicted. If the government talk to people about how gambling could help the world in positive ways they could have a better outcome on gambling. Casinos have been involved with numerous donations to schools in the state of Alabama. Casinos still have downfalls because gambling in the casinos could help in good ways and also bad ways. Gambling helps citizens by issuing out jobs in Alabama. Economic Development and employment is the reason why gambling should have the permission to be legal in all states. Alabama schools receive a $200k donation from Poarch Creaks on June 7, 2013. The tribe made the donation as part of its 2013 Planned Giving Campaign. In Escambia and Monroe elementary, middle, and high school receive more than $200,000 from The Poarch Band of Creeks Indians. Donating that money to all the schools in Escambia and Monroe counties made gambling a very fun thing to do and would help you realize that gambling could also have good outcomes instead of bad outcomes and both counties is in the state of Alabama. Gambling could make the world a better place because gambling also have good outcome and by casinos donating money to the schools and counties makes people look at the good outcome that gambling has to offer, only if people did not get addicted to gambling I think that gambling should be legalized in the United States because of the donations to schools and gambling helps economy by issuing jobs. Gambling in the industry is fast-growing, multi-million industry in the United States. Gambling could also be traced back to the “Wild, Wild, West.” Gambling is not uncommon at root of many saloon gunfights... ... middle of paper ... ... and Mississippi gamble at the casinos. Those tax dollars can be used to hold Alabama out, not another state. Some states and local law enforcement have beefed up their manpower to raid and confiscate illegal gambling. This is to try and cut down on the illegal gambling. Some casinos will install more and reopen even though they are still operating illegal. The penalties for violating the law in states are weak. The gambling casino is coming out on top because they are making million of dollars, and only being charged with a misdemeanor. Gambling was the one issue that dominated the agenda of the Democrat-controlled State Legislature. Some gambling bills to legalize casinos and video gambling machines are posted as electronic bingo in order to get the gambling joint legalized.     There are many different issues dealing with the legalization of online gambling.  The current law dealing with online gambling is the Wire Transfer Act of 1961.  Under this statute, the law is violated when telephone lines are used in interstate or foreign commerce to place wagers.  The statute also bars the transmission of information that assists betters to gamble on sports events and contests.  Recently, Congress have been active in seeking to pass further legislation to restrict betting on the web.  Last November, the Senate proposed the Internet Gambling Prohibition Act.  This statute would make it a crime to knowingly use the internet or other interactive computer services to place, receive, or otherwise make a bet or wager; or send, receive, or invite information assisting in the placing of a bet or wager.  Penalties would be as high as $20,000 and 4 years in prison.  However, in a vote in July, the bill narrowly missed obtaining the two thirds majority required to pass the bill.  In May, the Unlawful Internet Gambling Funding Prohibition Act was introduced.  This statute would criminalize and prohibit any person engaged in a gambling business from knowingly accepting from another person who is involved in internet gambling a credit card or extension of credits, an electronic transfer of funds, or any instrument payable through a financial institution.  This would shield certain financial institutions from liability as long as they do not know that their facilities are being used for online gambling.  This bill has also not yet been passed.
